[Quick quest, essentially for practice. Though the whole not-having-to-draw thing may make it last a lot longer against the raging tide of my sloth than any other earlier quest I've done. Got one or two other quest ideas that need testing out, but unless this dies fairly instantly, I'll keep giving it my love and attention.]

Darkness. This is the first thing I notice as I drift slowly back from whatever blissful void I had been in. The second thing is confinement. I'm trapped within a small space, legs drawn up slightly to fit, and the top of my skull pressed hard against a surface. I can't see or hear anything...

"Gah! Miner below, what the hells was that?"

I look around for the source of the noise, but the confined space causes me to crack my head against the ceiling of my enclosure. I feel no pain, however, but neither do I see the source of the odd voice.

You needn't bother yourself with such trifles. What say you have a feel around there and see what has ye confined?

I twist, more cautiously this time, as the voice comes again, but percieving no source in my shadowy prison, I give up and begin to poke about myself. I appear to be trapped within an irregularly shaped box, rough surfaced. My taps on the sides make no noise, and my touch feels dull and weak on the sides of the box...

With a jolt, I realize I am inside a wooden coffin.

Well this is quite the conundrum.
What use has the living in the house of the dead?
...
Unless of course, you are not among the living.

Perish the thought.

Someone must have made a mistake that's all.
Try to call out.

The voices words disturb me, but I have no other course than to go with its suggestions.

"Hello? Is anyone there?"

My voice feels... odd. My throat seems to rasp and grind, and the wooden box vibrates with each word. As well, I seem to be speaking far quieter than intended.

I wait a time, but nothing seems to happen in response to my call.

Well this isn't good.

It seems that you are in a state of near death, either someone mistook you for dead and arranged to have you buried... or... something else.

Aw carp, does it feel cold?
Do you feel movement?
I hope they have not buried you already.

Can you remember what you were doing before this?
What is the last thing you remember?
And what is your name lad.

Buried? This is not good, ohnonotgoodI'mundergroudnwithnowayout Oh Miner I think I just got claustrophobia.

Ok, calming down.

Ok.

Ok.

So.

I can't really feel the temperature. Both the feel of the air and the wood is dull against my skin. I don't think that's a good sign.

If I stay very still, I can feel the box shake and vibrate slightly, as it did when I called out earlier.

As for before now... My memories are blurred. I was chased through the city by the town guard, and had just made my way to one of the sewer entrances... I think I cracked my head on the way in, but I kept running...

Not too clear what happened after that. Though the head crack may explain the voices I keep hearing...
