A young girl watches in horror as a strange man points a gun at her mothers head. She is crying uncontrollably, but is too scared to speak. The man smiles at the girl as he pulls the trigger and her own mothers blood splatters on her and the surrounding walls. As her mother falls to the floor, the little girl stumbles to her side. Before she can reach her, the man points the gun towards the girl and shoots.

A small figure lay sprawled out on the top of a hill covered in gravestones. Her eyes flutter open and take in the darkness around her. The sky is black and spattered with bright silver stars, and a large silver moon sits watching over the small town below the hill. On the far side of the town is a mountain, upon which sits a rather ominous looking castle.

Examine body for holes that should not be there.

The girl sits up slowly and examines herself. Her skin is deathly white, and cold to the touch. It doesn't look like there are any holes in her. Upon further inspection, she appears to be made of porcelain. She is wearing a rather poofy black dress drowning in lace, and striped stockings. And try as she might, she simply cannot remember her name. That is, of course, if she ever had one. She holds her head in her hands and tries to remember how she got here.

She stands up slowly, testing out her ability to balance. Finding herself able to stand, she proceeds to take small steps towards the base of the hill. The houses below appear to be just her size. She wouldn't be too big to fit nor too small to reach the handle.

After a few successful steps, a small stone trips her and she stumbles forward, unable to catch herself she rolls down the hill and into the fence at the bottom.

Well, push yourself back to your feet and inspect yourself for damage.

Slowly she stands up. Inspecting herself for damage, she finds that she has a long, thin crack running down her right arm and her dress is torn a bit at the hem. Other than that, everything is intact. She looks around herself and thinks about what to do next. She can either try to remember her name or make one up, or make her way to the town and see if anyone there would know who and where she is.

She decides to think of a name for herself before doing anything else. She goes through her head trying to remember if she ever had a name, but comes to the conclusion that she did not, as she would probably have remembered it by now. So instead she decides to come up with a name for herself. After a few moments she comes up with a fitting name. Clara. Now all there is left to do is investigate the town.

Clara dusts herself off and proceeds to open the fence, closing it behind her. There are five buildings on the street she is now standing on. One appears to be a clothing store, and another seems to be a clock makers. the other three buildings are houses.
There doesn't seem to be anyone outside, though there are lights on in all of the buildings.

Clara walks up to the clothing store and looks in the window. Inside there are many shelves filled with strange clothes. In one corner there is a check out counter with a girl standing behind it. She appears to also be a doll. Clara debates over whether she should go in or look at the other buildings.

Clara enters the store and looks around. There isn't anything in here she likes.
The doll behind the counter looks up from her book and smiles at Clara. She tells Clara that her name is Mary, and asks if Clara is new here.
Clara smiles at Mary and asks where exactly "here" is.
Mary says that this is Clocktown.
Clara thinks she's heard of here before, but Mary says that's silly. No one's heard of it untill they're here.
This statment confuses Clara, but she decides to let it go for now.
