Thank you.

You awake in a small room. Someone is banging on the door. A voice says it's breakfast time. You've been here one day and you already know it's going to be bad.

better get it over with, open the door.

You're given a tray of food and the man continues on to the next door. Looks like there's a grapefruit and some... Oatmeal? You're not sure, it looks too thick to be oatmeal, but you can't imagine what else it could be. Of course there's also a cup for your medication.

Stash meds under your mattress, smell "oatmeal."

You hide your meds. Who cares what your doctors or parents say. you aren't "unstable." The Oatmeal... Paste... Thing. Smells a little like maple syrup. But you really aren't hungry.

Damnit, that's why you're supposed to peel it and eat it in sections like an orange instead of using a spoon. Remember that for next time.

You sprint out of the bathroom to find...

A girl standing and rubbing her eye. You ask if she's okay and she says she was just squirted in the eye by her grapefruit. I guess you aren't the only clumsy one.

This is a sign. The two of you are destined to gain grapefruit-based super powers and save the world!
Go and speak with the purple-clad female.

[Well I apologize for vanishing, my computer caught a virus and ended up dead. But I got a long needed upgrade and I'm back.]
You tell the girl that the same thing just happened to you. The two of you laugh and you introduce yourself. Her name is April.

You have approximately 30 minutes before you have to meet with the doctor for an evaluation. What will you do?

Time for an adventure! Trade clothes and go to the other person's appointment.

You consider asking April to switch places with you, but quickly realize two reasons that it wouldn't work.
1. You would not pass very well for a girl.
2. Asking a strange girl you just met in a mental hospital to trade clothes is a bit too promiscuous, even for an unstable young man such as yourself.

She seems a bit nervous about answering why she's here. She mumbles something about her parents and sister, but you can't quite make it out.
>>
No. 307783 ID: 35e1a0

go first to make her more comfortable. your parents are the ones who sent you here too, something about instability.

You tell her your parents sent you here after a couple incidents at your school, but she's not going to tell you anything. You decide to change the subject and jokingly ask if she wants to break out but she nods her head quite vigorously. She says you shouldn't be talking about it in the hall though, since the attendants are always wandering around.
>>
No. 307789 ID: 252e1b

Let's go somewhere we can talk then. A bed room, or the toilets, or something.

You decide to hide in the bathroom. It's kind of cramped but you're less likely to be found than out in the hall, and the attendants won't check up on you there. "So what are you thinking?" She asks.

"We haven't seen any windows here, but they have to have a way to move things in and out. Big things. Laundry, trash, stuff like that. We need to figure out a way to hide in the trash, and we need to gather what we'll need to keep going once we're out.

"I mean, our parents put us in here, if we go home they're just going to put us right back in here.

"So, I was thinking, once we break out, we can hook up with a punk community to start. We don't need to stick with them forever, but we could hang with them long enough to get some money together and then keep moving. Maybe we could do migrant farm labor or something. Anything to keep off the grid until we turn 18.

"Uh, when do you turn 18?"

"If we can find a map of the whole building we should be able to find a laundry or trash chute to get out through.

"But we may not need to find people outside to live with. There are a lot of kids here and I'm sure there are others who would want to get out. If we recruit a few I'm sure we could get by on our own. Plus they could make getting out easier.

"I'll be 17 in three months..."

It sound like April has thought about a lot of this stuff already. And imagine that, she's a couple months younger than you.

Great suggestion. Also, no romance please.
>>
No. 307823 ID: 35e1a0

yeah just need to stay moving until 18, at that time you are considered an adult and your parents can't keep you in anymore. but when asking be subtle about it. just talk a bit and then ask "so you ever think of blowing this joint?"

The more patients here who know about it, the more likely the orderlies will hear about it. On the flip side, the more people we have helping get supplies for the escape, the more likely it is we'll have most of the stuff we'll need. The trade-off is risky but could be worthwhile.

Is there anyone in particular April has in mind?

Once we're out, no matter how many of us there are, we'll need to find food, shelter, and opportunities to make money. It probably won't be much fun, and we'll be uncomfortable, and we'll have to re-adjust our definitions of acceptable personal hygiene, but we'll be free.

She says that she thinks the risk is worth it if you do. But she doesn't have anyone in mind, since she's only been here a couple days.

"We have to make sure not to make anybody suspicious though. That means showing up to all of our appointments and making it look like we want to get bet--" She's cut off by the sound of the bathroom door opening.

No. 308426 ID: 35e1a0

you in a stall? if so then hop on the toilet seat and duck slightly, whipser to april to stand in front of the toilet facing the door so if anyone checks under they will see one pair of legs facing the right way. if it opens directly to the hall then act gay "honey you so need more mascara, if only we could get some y'no?"

[Sorry about the wait. Frame by frame animation is a little more difficult.]

You see a pair of feet walk by. They pause for a moment in front of your stall but continue onwards. After some time waiting you hear a flush and the door opening as they leave. Ew. They never washed their hands.
>>

wait a moment longer. then hop down and peek under the door to make sure they didn't just pretend to leave. than agree to meet up again around lunch.
