When the turtle went haywire, your room launched off as an escape pod without Galliard. It landed pretty roughly on the beach of a tropical island, but you didn't appear to be hurt. The pod sent up a strobe that has been flashing pretty brightly, but you learned pretty quickly not to look right at it from up close.

All of the stress caused you to fall asleep, but you woke up a little bit ago. It appears to be early in the morning, the sun is only just rising. You haven't done much to explore your surroundings. From the beach you can't really get a good idea of how big the island is. There are a few palm trees on the beach, and the foliage quickly grows thicker as it goes inland. There appears to be some sort of tower off toward what is probably the island's center.
>>
No. 420819 ID: 132b99

can you climb a tree? if not then can you climb on top of the pod? from higher up you should be more able to see if any other pods are around.

Get dressed in proper clothes. Shoes, socks, jeans, wide-brimmed hat, and either a heavy long-sleeve shirt or a light shirt with a light long-sleeved jacket. Gloves too, if you have them.
You can always take clothes off, but you want a protective barrier between your flesh and the EVERYTHING if you head into the jungle.

Galliard was totally right about this trip. How do you think he's doing?
Consider: if you were dating then he would have been in the room with you, and you'd be together now.

If you decide to head into the jungle, leave a note telling them you're heading for the tower. Normally I'd tell you to stay there and await rescue, but you'll be fine since you have great luck. The note is so rescuers know where to look.
>>
No. 420824 ID: 180ec2

You're sure lucky that fancy aircraft had escape pods. If it ejected your whole room, what kind of stuff does that mean you have with you?

If the tower is the only noticeable structure on the island, you should probably go there, because any other survivors stranded on the island will be heading there too. If you have any way to write leave a note on your room for any rescue crews or other castaways who find it to say where you're going.

Wha? Using this complicated situation to coerce her into a romantic relationship? Don't be ridiculous! Besides a stupid and futile exercise, we don't have time to wander in the realm of possibilities! Nobody knows how the situation would be in a different scenario! Just shut up! Galliard needs help!

With that said, Pavane also needs to know what's inside the pod. Clothing, rations, water, lifeboat, means of communication. Anything that may help her.

>what kind of stuff does that mean you have with you?

Well, you have all of your luggage. Which mostly includes things like clothes, a couple of books, some board games, a phone (which doesn't get any reception, you already tried), beach and pool supplies, a smaller backpack (for taking stuff too and from the beach), and a journal you brought to make entries about your trip. You like journals, even though you never remember to actually write in them.

The room seems to have a small stash of emergency rations and bottled water, along with a built-in radio and a smaller portable one. You couldn't get any answers on either of them. You're not entirely sure if you were even using them right.

>Galliard was totally right about this trip. How do you think he's doing?

You're sure he'll be okay. Totally sure. You think. You should still probably find him, he might need some help. It happens to him sometimes.

You're so worried.

>If you have any way to write leave a note on your room for any rescue crews or other castaways who find it to say where you're going.

You tear a page out of your journal and leave a note on the bed saying that you're going to go to the tower.

>Get dressed in proper clothes.

Unfortunately, you don't have any jeans or long-sleeved shirts or jackets. You only really brought clothes to wear to places like the beach, or the pool, or walking trails in a tropical paradise resort. You have a pretty wide variety of clothes, though. You brought a lot of luggage.

What do you wear?

If you're going to head into the thicker underbrush, then you'll want to cover arms and legs. If you have sandals, or shoes, wear them as well. Gloves too, and a hat. If not, you'll want to circumnavigate the isle while calling out for any other survivors. Meanwhile, keep an eye out for any fruit or driftwood. You have shelter, which is good, but you'll need to find a way to sustain yourself, sooner or later.
>>
No. 421070 ID: a2fa74

>>421065
If you intended to walk on trails then you have shoes, socks, and some kind of pants. Not having a long-sleeved shirt is unfortunate, but those are the more important things anyway.
Wear those, a t-shirt, and a wide-brimmed hat.

Put some food and water in the backpack, and a dress. If there's a medkit then put that in the backpack as well.
Look for instructions for the radios. Write down what channel they're each on, then make sure they're both on the same channel.

Turn the lights off when you leave.

Before you head into the jungle, get up on top of the escape pod and look for any other pods. They might not have their strobe lights on, so look for things that could be pods, and also smoke. Don't forget to check the ocean.

You need something to keep some essentials in, something to keep the sun off your head, and something to protect your feet a bit. Aside that, best to just wear a light dress over your swimsuit, something that won't overheat you and that you can easily turn into a crud sack or some bandages. Also, tie your hair back so that it doesn't get in the way.

A watch will be handy as well, both for telling the time and for finding compass directions using the sun.

You toss on a dress and some shoes, and your sun hat. You put some food and water into your backpack, along with a first aid kit and the smaller radio.

You climb up onto the roof of your pod, but there isn't much more to see there. It looks like the sun is coming up, and you can see a glint and a bit of a flash way out at the horizon. It looks like it might be another pod, but it's about as far out as you can see. You fiddle with the radio, but are unable to get any sort of response.

Aside from a few faint clouds out toward the east, the sky is completely clear. It's a shame that the turtle crashed, this would be perfect weather for a vacation.

It's not that you've -only- watched it, it's just that it's the best in the series.

You think about relaxing for a while, but you're still just so worried about everyone! You decide to head inland.

After a short walk, you push through the bushes and find what looks to be a small stream and a spring. There are a lot of berries in the bushes around here, as well. Everything is pretty quiet on this island, which you guess is kind of weird? You always thought that unknown paradise islands were supposed to have like, jungle bird noises or something. And maybe a soundtrack.

It's not -completely- silent. The little brook is making trickling noises. But there aren't any animal sounds or anything like that.

You decide to remedy the background music problem by humming and whistling some tunes as you go.

The berries are lots of different bright colors. They're pretty tasty, too!

>>429478

The only landmark of any sort you've seen on the island is the big tower, so you guess that if they went anywhere they'd probably be there. And if nothing else you'd be able to see most of the island from there.

Since the tower looked to be up and the brook seems to be flowing down, you decide to work on following it up until the canopy clears enough to find the tower.

You think you hear something.

It looks like some kind of neat little jewel thingie! It has some kind of shape visible in the facets, but you can't really make it out. The lighting isn't really good enough with all the plants and overgrowth above you to try to shine a light through it or anything.

You decide to take it with you, because it's tiny so why not.

You reach a spring that the creek you were following seems to be flowing from, so you can no longer follow it inward. You continue making your way across the island, though making your way through the brush is a bit slower-going without a relatively open path to follow. It's not so bad, though, you've got plenty of berries to snack on and your bird friend provides some musical accompaniment.

It's nearly sunset by the time the foliage starts to clear out and break, and then you see it. A large stone structure stands out against the otherwise plant-based surroundings, though it is itself more than a little overgrown. Rising out of the top of the structure is a high tower. It looks like you've reached your destination!

Your bird friend hops back down onto your hat as you duck through the hole in the door and ascend the staircase.

After climbing for a short time you find yourself in another chamber, there are small cracks in the wall that are letting enough light in to see by, but they're too thin to see out of. There's a seated statue with a fancy-looking hat on top of it, the hat doesn't look like it's a part of the statue. There's a big fancy symbol on the wall that looks like a door, but it seems to just be etched on and lined with some weird material. It doesn't crumble when you touch it this time, either.

You try to check the symbols around the edge of the room, but they don't really mean anything to you at all. You can't even tell if they're words or if they're some other visual representation of stuff.

You go to pick up the fancy hat on the statue, but your bird friend flaps off of your hat and lands on top of it, knocking it back down!

You already pulled the switch, it was supposed to launch the lifeboat! It didn't, though, which honestly doesn't surprise you as much as it probably should.

The room is definitely at a weird slope, but it's not so steep that you can't stand on it. It seems like the whole thing lost power, and the only light now comes from what is probably a bunch of emergency lights? It looks like something is coming in through the front windshields in the cockpit on the other side of the door, so at least the turtle probably isn't underwater.

The Door seems to be jammed, probably because it's out of power, or maybe because of whatever mechanical failure caused the thing to not actually launch like it was supposed to anyway.

As you wake up, you start to realize that everything hurts a lot. But that's not really unusual either.

God.

Dammit.

The lifeboat launched right as you were leaving, and you couldn't keep your balance or grip well enough to stay inside the forced open door. You have no idea how far away that damn thing is by now.

The water broke your fall, and you only skipped across it a few times before plunging in, but you are a strong enough swimmer and suitably used to pain that you manage to make it into a suitably shallow area without passing out.

You are soaked.
Everything in your bag is soaked.

Since they'd also be luckier than you, they'd probably also have survival supplies and maybe a radio or something. Also, being luckier than you, they're also going to be a lot better at not dying to horrible luck, so you definitely want to meet up with them.

You can't really make out much in the way of landmarks, just a weird swampy beach as far as you can see in any direction. More marshy-looking terrain going inland, and nothing in particular really stands out to you. The closest thing to a landmark that you can see is the wrecked turtle smoldering out in the water.

Suddenly, you hear a voice coming from behind you!

It's not exactly often to meet somebody around here who exists. It is very exciting.

No, not exactly.

"So you exist?"

No, not entirely
