You're exhausted. The floor you took to sleeping on didn't help, nor did what you had to do last night. Funerals were never such nice things.

Your cup of hot tea only helped so little. That was normally the straw that broke your needy back, but last night it did little good. You only fell to slumber when a mysterious heaviness fell upon you and you konked out on your carpet.

And no, the impact of hitting the floor last night didn't help either. Yet you slept, face buried in dust knitting yet to be cleaned.

The sun rises through your window. It hits one revealed eye, and you groan.

You really don't know what to do at this time in the morning. You have an inkling, but you don't want to follow it. But maybe it'll come to you if you just lay down for another minute or two.

Laying down sounds nice. Not as heavy laying down. And you still feel drowsy. Not like you want to open your eyes just yet.

The black is calming, after all.

{ Now, what do you need to do . . . ? }

I take it you don't normally sleep on the floor? And you just collapsed last night? That doesn't exactly bode well. If I found myself on the floor, I'd want to get up. Something could be wrong.

You decide to try and open your eyes. That does work, of course.

Except you forgot one thing.

Your vision hasn't changed.

Did you really hit your head so hard you forgot you were blind? Pity. You were always so much sharper than that. But yes. It's clearer now.

You're blind. You lost your sight during a . . . certain event which shall not be recalled at this time. However, it's not something you're hindered by. You're, hrm . . . skilled as Daredevil moving around.

That's if you don't activate Macrosight.

There's . . . breathing on your face. Perhaps you should recall the incantation to that Macrosight spell.

*Aperta mentis, aperta mundi*

|_ Macrosight - Aperta Mentis, Aperta Mundi. Open Mind, Open World. This spell alows the blind to see the world around them not by heat, not by flesh and bone, but by spiritual reading. By the ' light ' or shade their spirit, their very soul, gives. Like dust. _|

There. Now that certainly cleared things . . . up . . .

That explains the breathing on your face. You were genuinely concerned for a moment! But alas, instead of any frightening foe, it's naught but your dearest feline, and one of many in your home town you've taken to feeding, Ina.

She's the brooding sort, but oddly shows a cold sort of concern when you get into trouble. It seems she's been sitting there a while, judging by the dried milk on her whiskers.

She smells like bananas. What, did she stop by Old Man Moray's Banana stand before coming home that morning?

Normally she'd bat your face awake with a paw she freshly buried in either milk or used kitty litter. But oddly enough, she just stares. You'd almost think her worried.

She's not normally worried. Even for such an emotionless gargoyle of a Persian. Then again, that may be why her spirit is so clean. Probably gives her more insight.

She's sitting pretty heavily on your chest, though . . . ack.

You move to scratch at the mane of fur around her neck, something she always sucks up, but instead, she decides to use you as a launch pad and pounces off to trot away. Odd. She normally doesn't get off UNTIL the scratchies are given.

You dismiss it as her being grumpy. She always is after Moray's Pudding.

With your head still aching in a dull ring, you decide that your Macrosight spell may need adjusted. You have a few options.

You can still see it in THESE colors, which is plain, and doesn't give much insight, plus it limits your basic vision to a sharpness seen as annoying. Then there's Inversion, which is practically just as dark as your blindness, but gives about as much neon outline to other folks as an ' after-image ' - - this catches contrast more easily, but it blurs horribly when in a fight - - and then there's . . . sketch.

Yes. Sketch. That was the first one you mastered. It sees no color whatsoever, but instead, all shades of gray and white. Personally you find it much easier on the eyes than the other two, and it's not as blurry or sharp as the other two, even if it can't tell color. And on the other side, it looks like it's ripe out of the sketchbook!

But you can tell good spirits from demons so that's a plus.

Which one should you go with? Should you go to Inversion, or Sketch? Or perhaps you should keep in these colors? You'd rather not have everything spin when you sit up after all.

How about Inversion most of the time, but Sketch when you're in a potentially dangerous situation?

Feline petting error 0: Cat proximity below minimum threshold for petting.
Suggestion to perform wake-up boot sequence is appropriate though.

You decide to test out Inversion, hideous as it is. The only parts that would stick out in this vision are items used for holy or unholy causes - such as, in example, your dressing mirror, having been used for meditation and cleansing in the past - and holy or unholy beings. The rest blend in like strange outlines.

. . . and already it hurts. As simple, yet horrid as it is, it seems Inversion doesn't help your head much. Perhaps you'll switch to Sketch after getting dressed?

And on another plus side, you finally remember what you're supposed to have woken up early for! Church! You're head of the church congregation, and the leading source of religious insight and comfort for your town, the sisters hardly think the church could function without you!

With Ina having dismissed herself to the kitchen, you have a few options. These can be done in varying order. You can;
1. Get yourself dusted off and dressed for work in the Mirror.
2. Fix Ina and yourself proper breakfast in the Kitchen.
3. Get yourself cleaned up in the Shower.
or 4. Get your gardening done for the day out in the Backyard. This one is entirely optional.

You may interact with any of the four items; the Kitchen door, the Mirror, the Bathroom Hallway, or the Back Door, past the Kitchen.
