You are Ato. Locked in this room. Your messenger bag contains a relatively large dagger from a forgotten time, and a pristine grey die.

You catch the die before it hits the ground.

You feel... strange...

...have you felt this feeling before? You cant... ...tell.

It's a... two! Not a great roll, but beats a one.

Go get yonder shiny.

You continue to inspect the shiny object. You don't feel like thinking about this for too long.

The shiny object is an oddly shaped flat object, sort of like a triangle.

You put the strange flat thing inside your messenger bag and go to the door. It is locked, and also shorter than you. This probably explains why you are trapped in this room.

You could try using your dagger, but it's a bit large and is asymmetrical. Same case for the door, without a key we can't actually go through it...
...does it even have a keyhole?
Perhaps there's something in your inventory you can use...
>>

Could use use the strange little triangle as a lockpick? Or as a screwdriver to remove the grate?

Unfortunately, upon further inspection, there's no keyhole on this side of the door. Even worse, the triangle is too acute to use as a screwdriver.

Firstly, seconding the victory dance.

Afterwards, look around your new area carefully. Keep your dagger out and your die away until you're in a place you can safely experiment with how exactly the magic works without risking something bad happening.

>check other room
You walk through a small, dark hallway to the next room.
There is someone on the floor, resting, wearing a headband. There is a long sharp object next to him,
and a crack in the wall. There is a door directly next to the door you are in.

It appears sort of like the blade of the sword. The sharp object has duct tape wrapped around the bottom of it.

How do you even know whether or not he knows? You'd figure if he would, he would have less than a stone floor to sleep on, and more than half of a sword by his side. We don't want to start any kind of bad relationship before we even know who we are.
