[[Yes another one! will ever learn! This one will be black and white, and after this little shadow puppet intro will get significantly more detailed.]]

Many years ago Sigurd the first, using incredible engines of war and legions of loyal soldiers, forged a great and powerful empire the covered all of Riverlon and brought about a golden age of peace.

However this peace was shattered when his own children turned on him in a effort to size the throne, breaking the empire into splinters and beginning a bloody civil war.

With the hiers to the crown becoming increasingly bloodthirsty and unhinged, it looked like all hope for the empire was lost, Fortunately, unknown to the public the emperor had a affair with a mysterious woman named Aura. When she had fallen pregnant she had returned to the isolated mountains of her home to raise her child, visiting the emperor from time to time until she passed away under strange circumstances. Now the imperial mage Maxos rides with all his speed to reach the one heir to the throne who is in anyway sane.

But dose he ride to find a prince, or a princess?

[[throwing this choice here as the next scene is surprisingly detailed and time consuming]]

Maxos knew that sigurds daughter would be the one to save the empire from ruin, for Aura was no mortal woman, but a powerful and ancient dragon. Half human and inexperienced though she was, maxos knew that the imminence power of the dragons flowed through the child's veins, yearning to be unleashed on her foes.

The first of these powers and the most primal, was her ability to take on the form of a dragon and soar the skies. But what sort of dragon was she?

Was she a Swift and sleek dragon, as fast and as untouchable as the wind?

A Strong and mighty dragon, who's claws would rend mountain's to dust?

OR a wise and mystical dragon, who's knowledge of the magical arts rivaled even the that of Maxos?

[Sorry i let this one drop, i am a butt =3=]

Your true self is a being of majesty, sleek and swift as the wind, when your enemies strike at you there blows find nothing but air and the echo of your laughter.

With a simple gesture maxos whisks you away to your fathers flag ship, the Raven, a vast flying fortress that is to be your new home.

"behold the raven, a miracle of technology and magic, from this mighty ship we shall wrest back the lands your siblings have stolen, and restore Riverlon to its golden age. As i speak the troops still loyal to your father gather aboard, among them great generals and wise mechanics, i will bring them before you shortly but for now i will let you get your bearings, i know this is alot to take in all at once."

With that the Wizard bows and takes his leave, leaving you alone in the control room, walking over to the viewport at the front, you look out over the lands that where the kings, and are now yours..

You also catch sight of yourself in the reflection, and take a moment to ponder the figure you see.

[The design of the Empress is up to you guys, either describe her or use the vauge template to draw her, everything is up for grabs, height, weight, build and even age (min 17 max 30 though) I look forward to seeing what you come up with and thank you for staying with me, the aforementioned Butt =3= ]

short to shoulder length red hair, kinda spiky. wears somewhat loose and baggy clothing as to not restrict movement while in human form. Clothes are actually nice dress clothes that someone with a bit of wealth would wear just a size or 2 bigger then normal size. yellow green eyes leaning more towards green that look mostly normal whenever she's calm but when under stress (or in dragon form of course) look more reptilian in nature. Tall (somewhere over 6 feet) and sleek build much like her dragon form.

No. 607687 ID: 4c5cf2

Well, if we're thematically about speed and sleekness, Gwen-class mega-titties are a no-no.

Shoot for lithe and sleek rather than strong or angular or well endowed.

Medium height, because we don't need to do the "ooh, we're so alien and tall thing" to drive home that we're a dragon. And we're not being tiny either.

Clothes should be easy to move in (we're about speed an elegance and exact use of motion- we don't want things that will get caught or restrict us). Though we certainly don't need to go so far as skintight jumpsuit.

I do like the gist of this, >>607605 , even if I differed on a few details.

Look, if you have any ideas for former companions of the princess who stowaway on the Raven, now's the time.

I'm sorry, I just figured that since we can alter the story this time, we could deal with an empress who isn't isolated from her past, bring friends and family who can interact with the 'regular' cast in new and dynamic ways.

For instance, having a trio of fellow dragons tag along would allow us to play 'multiplayer'.

Also, speaking of gypsies, I suggest giving the princess a gypsy costume.

I wasn't talking about the princess' siblings, I was talking about possible friends.

And just because someone isn't corrupt doesn't mean they're incapable of evil. We saw in act two that... well, that may be too much of a spoiler.

Okay, back to the topic at hand: the martial artist getup looks simple and elegant, but it also gives off the impression of being "bulky". Not exactly the best look for a speed-based character. Unless that's training gear, in which case it is totally appropriate.

I'm voting for gypsy clothing, and it doesn't have to follow any rules. Otherwise, either something that represents the princess' flow and grace or something that slows the princess down so that she can train her agility and dexterity outside of combat.

The top looks more like armor than a gypsy thing to me now. Not sure if that's what you were going for or not. It does work as a more soldiering kind of thing, less relaxed than number 1. (Like this is ready for battle, that was more hanging out).

If you really want to play up a gypsy influence through, I'd think you'd need bangles.
>>
No. 607895 ID: d3be40

This looks like a good design for light armor.

Remember, the princess has to transform into a dragon, which unfortunately leaves her smelly. So yeah, armor that can easily be taken off for baths is good, because we don't have to worry about extensive armor plating - she's a half-dragon. So it looks like this version combines good looks with light armor and is easily removable for baths.

Alright, let's keep looking for more ideas for other clothes.

I still think we hit on accidental gold with the posh clothes two sizes too big look, but Arhra's regal as fuck dress is pretty dang cool. And we will need a crown to rule, obviously.

So... casual look, a light armor look, and a fancy (not) pants look? People dress differently in different situations. It's all for appearances, anyways, since we have the option of going dragon.

Yeah! This outfit fits a sleek "flow", and merges multiple styles! This may LOOK more cumbersome, but it's set up in such a way that it looks as if the wearer can fly - which she CAN! This works.

I recommend this be used in the advisor's room, as her official empress clothes. You know, so that the author doesn't have to draw this outfit more than a few times - just use the same, extremely high detail image... or...

Hey Cth, maybe you can post a rough draft the first time you draw the councilor's room, and with each new debate you update with a new draft until by the end of the quest, the final draft is worthy of being a wallpaper.

Still, I think she's going to need clothes for trips to the bar. Other than that, I guess we're finished designing. Regular clothes: Posh. Battle clothes: Light Armor Gypsy. Regal Clothes: Dragon Sorceress. Bar clothes: ?

[[ /Kicks down the door to blaring music
After a long hiatus caused by having no god damn job, i am back to continue my quests, as many as i can! all thanks to the power of Having a god damn job! ]]]

You stare at the slightly distorted reflection for a while, letting the implications of all this slowly sink in.
Less then a hour ago you where a simple farmer, almost a hermit, now you stand at the edge of being the sole monarch of a crumbling empire.. you dont know whether to laugh or scream..

After a moment Maxos returns, leading three figures towards you, a sullen looking human with a imp made arm, a Tall, well dressed Lizard and a short, oil stained Imp.

"My lady Farr, my i present the generals loyal to you and your.." He gets no further before the human speaks up angrily.

"Let me tell you right off the bat, Bastard, that i hold you in very little regard. Your father may have been a great king once, but this last decade, a fated Pig would have worn the crown better!
He became a Vainglorious fool, a sloth and a coward. No wonder then that his own children could raise armies unperceived and strike at the heart of the kingdom in a matter of days.
He tried to run and they cut him down where he stood. Now the realm is shattered and Vultures pick what they can from its corpse.
Id say all is lost but maxos insists you can snatch victory, be the "Hero" who will take back the land weve lost, Excuse me if i laugh in derision.
Still.. you are a dragon, ill give you that, and of ancient blood. Prove to me that you have the stomach for battle, and perhaps you may still gain my respect."

With that he turns and storms out of the bridge in a cloud of sullen Fury.

After a moment Maxos breaks the awkward silence.

"Well that went as well as could be expected, he didn't actually try to hit you. That was Henry, once your fathers loyal soldier, now re-thinking his stance on monarchy if im a judge."

The lizards steps forward, offering a short bow but not handshake

"I am Lord Edmund Augustus the third, duke of Hawknest Hall, id add 'At your service' but i dont think we are quite there yet are we. While i do not share Henry's..Distaste of your parentage i would have declined the call for my services as curtly as i would a invite to Dwarven Opera, However the backing of Maxos to this enterprise has me Intrigued. You have Doubts benefit Dragon. lets see how far it can take you. Now if you excuse me i need to prevent Henry from drinking the entire ship dry."

With that he turns and strides off, his tail swishing through the air confidently as he leaves.

"None of them seem to like me very much.."
"They've lost much in this war, Hope fell first. That will change when you bring victory and regain the homes they lost. Speaking off wich Here is your Engineer, the one who will aid you in this epic task"

With that the imp steps forward and grasps your hand tightly, his impish strength gripping like a steel vice as he shakes it rapidly.

"Greetings sire sprung from kings! I am Grumio son of Gromio, a imp of good and honest standing! Your technician i shall be if it pleases you, Your Engineer and Architect. Already i have built for you a device of my own design, a Jetpack! Yours to keep without recompense, for gladly shall i remain aboard to tinker and toy, Hammer and Hew! Scribble and Scribe!"

This goes on for a few seconds more then comfort permits before maxos finally gets him to let go and leads him out.

"Well, now that that's over with its time for you to lead your first assault, here let me show you the region map"

He walks over to the raised circular platform in the middle of the room and gestures to it.

"This map shows current information regarding territory control, troop locations, facilitates and other economic information."

He hands you a slim pamphlet.

"This contains a brief explanation of the information the map will show, but it is all very simple and easy to use, Once you've ordered your troops to attack a area you may command them yourself or send a general to lead the assault, the raven has the means to instantly teleport you and your generals to and from the battlefield at a moments notice. For now though i suggest personaly leading your troops, it will raise the moral of all aboard and on the field and help them accept you as the true heir. All you need do is select a target."

You gaze at the map before you, wondering where to go first..

While claiming neutral territory is easier, and the nearby neutral area has some stuff in it, taking an enemy territory will actually be better for us in the long run. It denies our enemy resources, so it's effectively got twice the income/resource values. It will also very quickly impress everyone and raise morale. it won't even make the front much bigger. So, let's immediately attack the hostile territory next door.

Next turn we can start claiming neutral territories to form a unified front in the southeast.

Alright. Step 1: Conquer as much neutral territory as possible. If you can curry favor from the industries, you'll have enough resources to wage a full-scale war. Right now, your enemy outnumbers you in almost all things (except a giant comet of flaming death and the shattered loyalty of a formerly conquered world), so obtaining resources to fight is key.

Logistics matters when war isn't decided in battles alone. Even the odds and reduce casualties by building a sufficient army.

The real question is, how long can you let atrocity go unpunished within your own ranks? Be ruthless, and do what it takes to win back this planet before your siblings turn it into some comedic political theatre (as in, blow it up for stupidly funny reasons), but also have the foresight to recognize when people are being stupid/corrupt/cruel without any justification to their actions.

More power means more opportunity to do good. You can't give charity without funds to sacrifice.

Just don't lose the willingness to.

Do you need that? Can't dragons fly?

...oh wait, you don't know how to do that. Ask Maxos how you're supposed to do anything um... dragony. (Okay, we know out of character how we get dragon powers, >>626031 , but in her situation I'd kind kind of nervous about not knowing).

>Choose battle plans
Question Maxos, again. You know royal blood is supposed to show through and all, but you're not trained in military strategy. What is your leadership supposed to accomplish right now that other minds couldn't, previously?

And you see the logic in leading for morale, but you're not trained in combat either. And you don't know how to access any dragon powers yet, either. How are you supposed to participate in battle?

>Map
How well stocked is the enemy when it comes to air and sea power? How easily can they access the neutral provinces the the east, without going overland, through us?

I think our first priority to the claim the territory to the east, though. If we leave it open, we risk the enemy claiming it, and then dealing with a land war on two fronts.
>>
No. 626072 ID: d3be40

>>626046
Not so sure. You may be right, though.

Plan A: Conquer the neighboring enemy territory. This results in a land-based chokehold between the north (which is enemy territory). If you play your cards right and can push forward, you can easily conquer the northwest territories and push a land flank on the northeast territories, with negligible air/sea reinforcements. But if the enemy reinforces their position in the north, you're screwed; between the flank attacks from two territories, a complex system of land-based supply lines, and a blooming naval base, the enemy could strike a massive blow if you don't accelerate your plans the moment they come into play.
Plan B: Let the enemy come to you. Let them underestimate you, and attempt a decisive victory by implementing waves of enemies at your capital. Then when things get too tough for your regular infantry, summon your dragon body and decimate their supply lines. The fallout could be enough to reconquer their near-empty western territories by the time they regroup. Unfortunately, this tactic allows them to stockpile a whole army of supplies, which will become near-undefeatable if they produce enough war-factories.

You have a difficult decision to make, one factoring on the calculations of war and the outrageously crazy war assets you possess.

I think you're going to need therapy or a vacation - possibly after your troops can handle mopping up the remaining enemy without your guidance.

... Want to go deep sea exploring when you finally get a small (VERY SMALL) vacation from the war? I dunno, it's your call.
>>
No. 626123 ID: 01745f

It depends hot fast air/sea units can travel, but it it will take them more than one turn to get to the east territories we should go west now and build a unit to send east.
