An adventure with a snarky nonbinary teen who just wants their brother back. Of course, nothing works out how we want it and instead you get horribly put together cyborgs.

You're in a damp moss-covered tunnel, spanning for what seems like years, with a severely disfigured child on your back. It's been quite a long day, and both of you probably just want a nap. Well, you assume they want a nap, kids like naps.
Your name is Val, and you just want to find your brother.

So who is the kid on your back, and how did they end up there?

Where does this tunnel go? Where's it come from, for that matter?

>How is the kid on your back doing??
>how badly hurt are they? what happened? whats their name? can you fix them?

From what you know their name is Devin, you found them some time back on a staircase and you found them again, and figured out they WEREN'T some demon hell-spawn, but a child. You don't want to look to much into their condition, but it appears as though their eye has been dug out, a leg missing, and 3 strange bronze limbs. With having little to no idea on how medical stuff works, you can't fix them. Who did this to them is a mystery, but you're sure there's more people down here that are in the same condition. Everything else is a ~mystery~.

>Where does this tunnel go? Where's it come from, for that matter?

You found a tower, which had a basement, which lead to a gigantic staircase. At some point some nasty woman trapped you in a room, you broke free, and here you are.

>do you need anything?

Yeah, an exit. Fuck Ian.

You really didn't carry much when you came to the tower with Ian, aside from your phone and a set of matches. It wasn't until this morning you found the screen to be broken, since it doesn't respond to your touch at all, so why you brought it is beyond you. It still functions, however, since it says you have a message.

Have the kid tinker with your phone. If he can get it to work, use your phone to draw a map of the local area. If this place has @#$%ed up looping areas, then use multiple drawings for each room so you'll know what to expect if you're running from an enemy and need to recall where the traps are.

A place to rest, there's a room right nearby to sit in. That woman from before shouldn't see you there, it should be safe.
As you sit down you decide to crack a joke.

You pull out your phone to avoid looking at Devin's joke-hating glare and read the message, from a close friend.

Elodie: Hey Val! Guess who's bed-bound with a cold and bored!! If you're not coming over today I'm gonna annoy the hell out of you. CANT ESCAPE THAT QUICKLY!!

You know she'll keep her word too. More messages are to come, surely.

You crawl to the entrance quietly and look out to check again. You're just at a curve in the tunnel, and beyond that is much out of sight. Though, there certainly is a person's shadow in it.

Well, you can either go peek at who it is, or try and avoid them. Do you have reason to believe anyone down here would mean you or Devin harm?

>It's probably best to go back to Devin and ask what they know, but if you get trapped, then do what you can to escape.

You start to panic trying to figure out what to do, but at the last minute you decide to make a dash to Devin, hoping the devil didn't see you.

Whispering, you mention that Janice is coming down the hall, and they sigh. Briefly, between wheezes and and the such, that they're not sure how to handle this. They'd suggest running, but without them, since they're really only dead weight. There's also a good chance in a fight, since at this point she'd underestimate you. With that advantage, you could incapacitate her and buy time for both of you, but once again you're going against a clock monster.

B [Flight]
