Blah, yeah the fonts have been kind of weird since I started playing. There's probably an option somewhere to fix it, I just haven't wanted to mess with it since I can... sort of read it. I guess I should fix it after I create my character.

Oh, neat. Lyrael said my specialties "flavored" my abilities. He didn't seem to prefer one over another, so I think I can pick whatever I like most without worrying about clashing with his tastes.

He's probably on his way, but he said he usually spends his time on the other continent. Well I guess I need to kill some time. Let's see... right now I'm in a big plain full of random creatures of varying cuteness. There's some kind of dungeon I've been told level 10s should visit off in the distance. And I really need to get a better outfit, I hate this one.

No way! It's too (kind of) cute! Besides, I stopped getting experience from Papupapus after level 3 and they don't drop anything good. I guess I need to kill stuff to get better, though. I want to be useful to Lyrael, after all.

This dungeon should probably have stuff my level. I'm on a ledge. It's hard to see what's below because of that weird luminescent waterfall's mist could, but there's definitely an orc down there. Looks like a video screen of some kind, too. I could probably slide down the waterfall, or take that lift just after it. There's also a box up here.

More blueprints is probably good, yeah, but I think I can mix and match my components to make stuff that I don't have a blueprint for. It looks like I have to use at least two components to make something, and it counts against my total "device" count.

Okay, made it down the waterfall - that stuff is cold and I'm kind of soaked now. The orc hasn't spotted me. Now that I'm down here I can hear something deeper in the dungeon - some kind of deep bass pounding, like something big periodically slamming against the floor.

As far as I can tell, red names mean they want to murder me as hard as they can. NuLife doesn't actually give players a way to see other stuff's level. The only way you can find out is by asking them and hope they tell the truth.

I select the turret blueprint and let the skill's automovement control my body. It feels weird - like I'm a puppet being tugged by invisible strings. The device appears in wireframe and begins solidifying into existence.

The concussive wave from the skill has dispersed the mist concealing me.

Finally, my turret is working. I backpedal away as it starts pulsing with a concussive "BRAKKA BRAKKA". The lack of maturity filter manifests itself again as gore paints the wall I was just up against.

The orc falls dead to the ground. He has 10Φ on him and that bandolier thingy. My turret settles down into what I guess is a sentry mode, waiting patiently for something squishy to wander into its field of view.

It's a pretty crappy scale - there's a hole in the bottom of its basin. The meter on the front is marked, but only with colored notches. That's not a tunnel beside it - it's a closed door with no apparent handles or seams.

The only obvious exits I see are the closed door beside the scale thingy and the double-doors of the lift back to the upper floor.
