"Today, I require a sacrifice of two hundred pounds of raw flesh. In return, I won't eat your friends. Also, today you get a bonus. I will throw in this hammer that a holy man once tried to smite me with, long ago. Does this sound equitable?"

I dunno what equitable is but I want that hammer

I could go back to the village and get some imps to feed to it but they're small and it would take a lot

Or I could look for something bigger??

Hooray!

What are you, some kind of scruffy imp-herder? You need to locate something beefy and ride it back!

Seek ye the great Schnufaphalapagaß

you must seek the Fowlbear, angriest but tastiest of all large poor-flying predators.

There is no overkill.

Go catch a whale.

>the great Schnufaphalapagaß
>the Fowlbear
>a whale

I'll try all these things in order cause I don't even know how much two hundred pounds is. I might have to bring all three of them?

I climb up the fluffy spires to the great Schnufaphalapagaß's home and it's crying

"Little imp, hear my tale of sorrow. My love is gone! Devoured by a vile demon."

Oh yeah the great Schnufaphalapagaß's mate was yesterday's sacrifice. I got a nifty looking necklace outta that deal but I lost it

Tell him that really sucks. Is he gonna do something about it?

I don't know about the beliefs of the Schnufaphalapagaß' , but if it wants a reunion, we could definitely arrange that.

Unless it faces it's outer demons, things aren't gonna improve.

Hey since you lost your mate and have nothing worth living for anymore, want to be a sacrifice? It's for a good cause!

Maybe ask the great Schnu (be merciful I am on a phone) the best way to catch a whale? Or assist you? As you remember: "Two imps are twice the pain!"

Not a bad idea, big, suffering creatures know lots of fun stuff.

I climb over to talk to it

"Ahh, the imp with the gentle voice! You came to visit not long ago, didn't you?"

I lie and say no

>Tell him that really sucks. Is he gonna do something about it?
"What's a Schnufaphalapagaß to do? The hand has been dealt! My love was the fluffiest creature in all the land, you know. Now I suppose the title falls to me."

>Hey since you lost your mate and have nothing worth living for anymore, want to be a sacrifice?
"Not particularly, no."

>Maybe ask the great Schnu the best way to catch a whale? Or assist you?
"Why, little imp, do you need to catch a whale?"

Can't have a party without a whale.

Would it like to come to our whaleparty?

I mention the fowlbear too. "I don't feel like partying today little imp. But I will help you because you have always been so kind to me."

It's a long walk even on the Schnufaphalapagaß' big long jelly legs but we finally find the fowlbear sitting on a tall rock. "The fowlbear is known for its strength, little imp! Be careful what you say to it."

TBH, I was thinking less of asking it, and more of climbing up there and flying it into a rock. Or maybe Iraq.

Like a magic carpet, except for the crashing.
