I, Sir Chivalry, have taken on a mission to rescue Princess Lovely from the vile Dragon Sorceress' Castle! And I expect you, my Sword of Infinite Psyche to assist in this mission!

Away we go! To save Princess Lovely!

There it is. The castle of the Dragon Sorceress. Within, Princess Lovely is waiting for a handsome knight in shining armor to come to her rescue! And the handsome fellow in shining armor shall be I!

Princess Lovely. I have heard tales of her beauty and loveliness across the country. She is fair in every way. But her most prominent feature is her great, full, and bountiful heart!

And the Sorceress! I have heard stories of how vile and wretched she is! Her scales as red as blood! Her eyes as sharp as a blade! And her evil magic is full of tricks and destruction and has been the source of suffering for many! Surely, if I were to slay her, I would be known as a hero across the land!

Hmm. But how to go about this? I am having a bit of trouble thinking about anything but the wonderful smile that will be on Princess Lovely’s face when I rescue her! Hmmmm… Please, my Sword of Infinite Psyche, help me with this conundrum! How should I go about this with what I have?

I have you, of course, my Sword of Infinite Psyche! You will never tarnish nor chip nor dull! For you are a magical blade! Filled with the souls of wise men and women from all eras!

I have three spools of rope (of varying lengths).

Two potions of healing (that I purchased for a very amazingly low price, might I brag).

A strange and rather fruity-looking wand that an old man in a purple suit gave me when I took a shortcut through the Plains of Dreams and Horror (which was very unpleasant). I have no idea what it does. Though the old man insisted that it would help me in my quest! To be honest, I haven’t the courage to utilize it’s unknown power as of yet!

And finally, I have a rather cheap grappling hook that I built myself, I am proud to say! Though, if I am honest, I do not believe it will hold together for many uses.

How will I utilize these? Or shall I take a more direct approach to castle?

I will be frank with you: I'm more into the sorceress than the princess. A huge half dragon girl with shiny red scales and penetrant eyes...

Focus. Focus.

The first problem you have is hor to enter the castle. If you are luck it won't be properly maned, allowing you to get in by climbing into an unguarded window or on the roof. Once inside you can afford to dispense with stealth, but until then it's essential.

Rescuing a princess? Defeating the sorceress? Psh don't be a trend following loser, blaze your own path like a real knight! Seduce the sorceress and turn her from her evil ways. With your cock.

Also go over the wall with the grappling hook.
>>

Have you considered seducing the sorceress instead of the princess?
>>

Is there any other entrances other then the draw bridge? Like a hatch to a cellar or some such? Also I and probably quite a few others would advise you to go for the sorceress instead of the princess.

...this Sorceress is beyond crazy. If the stories of her hold any water, then she is surely one of the greatest scourges this land has ever known. She has plagued innocents with famine and disease. Summoned monsters, abominations, and demons of horrific origins. She has destroyed entire civilizations with hordes of undead and and armies of unimaginable beasts, leaving nothing but charred remains in her wake. If I am to believe any of these stories, then this Sorceress is beyond any kind of saving.

Oooh! Sorta detailed and spooky and scary and dramatic! :D

Then again, what do I know? Perhaps they are just stories and I’m worrying over nothing! Besides, I am here on a mission to rescue Princess Lovely! Not to bed a Dragoness that may or may not be a scourge on the earth! Besides! Dragons tend to not have certain features that mammalian species may have… like warm blood! And that may make the exchange uncomfortable for all I know! But I’ll keep the idea on the back-burner for now if it pleases you!

>Wait until dark.
Ah! Of course! Night would be the ideal time for an infiltration of a stealthy caliber! I would need to set up a camp and wait out the sun. And get a head start on my sleep so I do not fall so easily in battle!

>Make sure grappling hook has rope.
Do not worry! The grappling hook has its own rope to use!

>Over the wall.
>Look for cellar or some such.
So! Should I wait for night for a stealthy infiltration, make my way onto the top of the castle with my grappling hook, or go looking for a different and more stealthier way in?

1) Wait for Night.
2) Grappling hook to roof.
3) Scout out a better way in.
4) Just rush in through a window.
>>
No. 811758 ID: b27cac

Wait for night. Fortune may favour the bold but Lady Luck is a fickle mistress and you'll have none of that with Princess Lovely's ample charms so close.

You know, just because someone said all those things, that doesn't make them true! Someone could've lied because they were being a racist to the Sorceress, since she's a different race that isn't human!

The sorceress might actually be nice and is having a tea party with Princess Lovely!
>>
No. 811781 ID: 3373e2

3. Just taking a look around the outside of the castle probably wouldn't take too long. As for the story thing I would think that more action would be taken against the sorceress if she did all that.
>>
No. 811788 ID: 13fded

Fair enough. Avoid crazy is an important rule and you are wise to side with caution.
Just make sure we at least get to penetrate the lady of shine scales and sharp eyes. When you are a blade all your encounters are one offs.

Wait for the night.
>>
No. 811815 ID: 7d8168

Wait, wait. You said you're off to save the princess from the sorceress' castle. How do you know that she's there? Has the sorceress announced she's taken the princess hostage? Has the king told you that the sorceress kidnapped her? Did you watch her being carried off by one of the sorceress' summons? Extra information would help us determine the exact situation.

Also, do you have a time limit, such as a planned sacrificial ritual or something? That would radically change how reckless you may need to be in your rescue plans.

I first arrived in the Baeluro Kingdom only a month ago. I had only taken two steps into the Capitol before I heard word of the King, Taurus Hardback, was searching for a warrior to save his precious daughter from a villain! And of course, I being a chivalrous man, decided to take on this quest!

When I came before the king, he told me of my mission, where to go, what to expect, and that I would be rewarded greatly for completing my task. He told me of a horrible and dangerous Sorceress with the face and body of a dragon that has laid waste to many towns and cities with her horrid armies.

“For hundreds of years, this scourge has ravaged my kingdom and others with her foul magic!” he said, “I will reward you further and grant you a title should you slay her and save my daughter!”

Well, how could I say no to that?

After I accepted the mission, I took a walk through town to purchase a weapon with what little gold I had. I did not have high hopes for the purchase.

Then I was approached by a young woman in a cloak that concealed her face. She asked me if I was the one that was entrusted with the rescue of the king’s daughter. I was wary but admitted that I was. She then gave me a sword in a sheath and said that it would guide me when I found myself before the Sorceress’ Castle. This sword was you, obviously! And before had the chance to thank the woman, she had melted into the shadows.

Then I made my way here. I first made stops at Ramidi and Selfulburg to ask directions and stock up on gear and food.

Strangest thing though, whenever I would mention my quest or the Sorceress, they town goers would become tight lipped and try to rush business or just ignore me! But when I asked about Princess Lovely? I could picture her and her lovely features all too well.

And the Plains...

I don’t want to talk about the Plains.

That, uh, sounds like you got us from a female magic user. It might've been the Sorceress. Although, why she'd give you a weapon to use against her is something that doesn't make any sense. Maybe she-

It's time. Use the grappling hook to enter through one of the windows on top. Preferrably the sorceress' bedroom.

This sounds suspiciously like you haven't been given all the information.

Just remember to be cautious when you enter. We might end up having to decide on a new course of action depending on what truths we learn inside the castle.

Agh! Damn it! That’s embarrassing. Never much cared for the damn thing anyway. It was given to me by the king as a “title accessory”. It probably doesn’t have much worth. Maybe. I’ll keep it in my inventory for now.

Now! On to the mission!

Alrighty then! I have done a thorough scouting of the castle and have found no other entrances, aside from this cellar door! So. should I make my way through the cellar door or should I attempt to slip in through a window with my grappling hook?

Cellar door? Why would a castle have a cellar door? The side entrance should be a well guarded needle hole.
Something isn't right, go through a window.
>>

Maybe just open the Cellar just to see what's down there, look before you jump and all that. Or go through a window if you would rather do that.

Both paths probably lead to the princess. We should definitely save our strength and try the easier path first, which is the cellar door.
