Creation.
A world made of five elements, on the backs of five dragons and reaching off into five directions.
But in which direction do you live?

1: The frigid North?
2: The verdant East?
3: The regal Center?
4: The blazing South?
5: The drowned West?

South it is!

But does your home lie closer to the balmy beaches and tropical isles of the south-west, the dream haunted jungles and fossil-strewn coasts of the south-east, the cosmopolitan kingdoms of the Threshold or the blistering deserts of the deep south?

You hail from the south-west! The home of drugs and demons, swords, spices and sorcery, wenches and witches, priests, princes and pirates!
The summers are long, sunny and hot, while the winters are rainy and mild. Teeming multitudes flock to these shores, and among them, you.
But what are you?

10 Female Sea Hunter

Your mother raised you on foolish folk tales of merfolk and sylphs. You set out on a quest to bone one, and before the year was done you got a taste for salty blood and five giant kills. Pirates, whales, and even merchant princes - if they threaten the trade routes, you'll murder them all and wear their skins as bikinis!

... You have a weakness to heat.

Female doctor it is!

You are a woman of medicine! Whether a witch or apothecary you set bones, brew ointment and prescribe treatments to the sick and injured of Creation. Whether for a price or out of the kindness of your heart is up to you.
But how do you do your job?
Do you draw on your vast knowledge to mix the right ingredients, or mix randomly and carefully note the results? Do you take pride in the neatness of your suturing or your dogged determination to work on a needy patient all night if you must?

Choose one category below to be your Primary set of attributes and one to be your Tertiary set.

PHYSICAL: [Stamina, Strength, Dexterity]
SOCIAL: [Charisma, Manipulation, Appearance]
MENTAL: [Perception, Intelligence, Wits]

Primary: MENTAL - we've studied medicine our entire lives, trying to learn as much as we can
Tertiary: PHYSICAL - ... but that much study tends to mean we're not the most athletic person
>>

I think Mental as Primary and Social as Tertiary.

Doctoring needs lots of smarts, a steady hand and lots of wandering around the countryside to get ingredients for special medicine. A good bedside manner is for lesser doctors!

Tertiary means third. As in last in three.

I'll vote 1. Mental, 2. Social, and 3. Physical.

Mental, Social then Physical it is!

Distribute the number of points next to each set of attributes among the attributes in that set. Each attribute starts at one [below average] and none can be raised above five [the very peak of human performance].

MENTAL: 8 dots
Perception *
Intelligence *
Wits *

SOCIAL: 6 dots
Charisma *
Manipulation *
Appearance *

PHYSICAL: 4 dots
Stamina *
Strength *
Dexterity *

What can I say? I liked the idea of being perceptive and calm in a crisis of being really, really learned for a doctor. Also I want a jerk.

Observant, witty, and a master of getting what she wants when she wants it. Perhaps she over does it as on more than a few occasions people have been muttering "Bitch" under their breath as she passes by. She's out of shape and visibly overweight. Doctor isn't the most physical of professions, but anytime heavy lifting is required she somehow manages to fool someone into doing it for her. Though she pursues her work with diligence and passion, in all other aspects of life most would call her lazy.

Dexterity is the godstat for combat, and the rest of the stats should make for an interesting character who can still be effective in her role. Even if it's not an awesome badass Exalted warrior wrecking shit. Bah. I'm trying to set up stuff like the nurse gags from Animaniacs and below-average Wits should be amusing without being too fatal.

First and foremost, doctors must have the dexterity to administer treatment, whether they be surgeons or potion-brewers, lest their tools be detrimental in the wrong places. A little stamina means a long job can be tolerated, if barely.

A doctor can hide their face behind a mask (most of the time), so having a strong charisma will usually help bedside manners... and paycheck. A doctor also needs the ability to manipulate stubborn or suicidal patients.

Most of all, a doctor must be capable of thorough analysis, recognizing data and processing it in equal measure, and keeping their sanity despite their new understanding of these horrible, disgusting diseases.

It's fine if we want to be the optimised doctor who doctors while doctoring.
It makes sense for a build, but it surprised me that kome would suggest something... Boring.
