Russian Roulette, the fastest, riskiest way you know of to make money. You need 10 Million in cash by the end of the month to save your daughter's life.

LUCIPH: Well, whats it going to be?
Give me a minute, I'm thinking here.
LUCIPH: 250k per pull. 2 million in the pool.
This is not good. Down to only 750k. If I die I can just start over, but probably not without missing the deadline.... shit this is not good...

LUCIPH:Well? Are you playing or not?
Do I pull the trigger or not?

Dude no you have so much to live for

Can't you just, like, give your daughter one of your extra lives?

How many chambers does the gun have? how many was used up already?

Pull the trigger, also explain what you mean by starting over?
>>

This is more just gambling than risky, you really going to leave your daughters fate up to chance? Go find a even more dangerous, riskier job, maybe press this guy for info. Say it’s not enough.

Is he the only one left in the room? Shoot him.

6 Chambers, 3 potential live rounds, 2 live rounds found.
>>992707
If only that were an option. Unfortunately Eternalism is not a genetic trait or transferable.

>>992712
Shoot LUCIPH and take the money?... Its an option I suppose, If I'm willing to make an enemy of the 6 Families for the rest of time. And when you live forever, that is a long time.
>>
No. 992716 ID: 0d6409

Shoot him? Sounds like the best plan if your going balls to the wall insane, but if they’d retaliate with hurting your daughter it’s probably a bad move.

It’s a gamble but maybe pull the trigger on yourself and ask if they have anything more lucrative on the table? Play the part of an uncaring badass, your daughter’s life is on the line here.

Unless they're going for the hardcore version of Russian Roulette, gut instinct says you've got a 2 in 3 chance here. If the odds aren't in your favor, well that's just a very long walk of shame back.
>>
No. 992719 ID: b1b4f3

So there's only one round left? There's 2 million in the pot which means 8 pulls, so you must be spinning the chamber each time. 1/6 chance to lose. Though, in the end it's a coin flip if nobody backs off; how likely is Luciph to back off?
Also why is he named after the devil? That's not a good sign...

Why are you so sure you'll be chased for shooting him? Just make it look like he failed his pull.

Oh if they're Eternals too that changes things a bit.

>>992714
Anyway, you chose the riskiest way to make money. Why would you back down now? You made your bed now lie in it.

LUCIPH grins wide.
LUCPIH: well, well. Another stalemate. Care for another round?

LUCIPH, another eternal. Eternals can die, but only temporarily. Their soul will always drift back towards the mortal realm and will take a new host with all memories and skills intact. The only problem is that it can take from days to years for this process to finish. Small price to pay for immortality. Unfortunately your daughter does not have years to spare.
LUCIPH is the heir to the 4th family, monarchs of the underworld. Your daughter is being held hostage by the 2nd family, Lords of the heart. LUCIPH might offer you an alternative to this game, and a way to raise money, but you'll probably have to owe him one sometime. Owing a favor to another eternal... you don't like the thought of it.

"Depends. I'll give you this one: one of the other Families (capital F like you) has my balls in the microwave. If I pay them purely with gambling money, will they leave me alone, or on average, do the Families screw their one-time high-rise customers over?
... Actually, I'll sell you information by packing it with a question: How would you react if, say, the police force was bribed to conduct a brutal and exposing raid on one of the other families? I guarantee you are not this particular family, or you'd be forcing me to play with a semiautomatic by now."

What Immortal Laws are in place that prevent Immortals and crime families from randomly kidnapping relatives of Immortals, and how did you screw up to allow the Second Family an exception?
>>
No. 992736 ID: 8a51ec

Those other two must be eternals as well, right? Seems like a pretty terrible idea otherwise. As for the game at hand, it's a tough choice to keep going, because chances are it'll be either this pull or the next one.

It's just one favor. Sounds less risky than continuing the coinflip here. Which, might I add, is literally all you're doing. From your perspective, he's always going second, so every round is a 69.4% chance of a draw(5/6*5/6), a 16.6% chance of losing(1/6), and a 13.8% chance of winning(5/6*1/6). Paradoxically, from his perspective it's the same.
This is basically just a blackjack table with higher stakes. You can only go two more rounds before you run out of cash to bet with, what happens then?
Also I'm not sure what your long term plan is here. Making 10 million seems incredibly unlikely if losing *once* puts you behind the deadline.

How about you mitigate the risk: tell Luciph that you want to talk to him after the game, win or lose. You need a better way to make money.
>>
No. 992745 ID: b1b4f3

Actually wait no. You'll want to talk to him now, because if he dies it might take too long for him to come back.
I guess the deal could be something like this: you fold now and he finds you a more likely way to make 10 million in cash by the end of the month.
>>
No. 992952 ID: ce39da

Yeah, owing a favor isn't fun, but as things stand, it seems incredibly unlikely that you'll make enough money even if you win the maximum pot you can afford to pump here. Sometimes, you've got to know when to suck up your pride and ask for help.

"... Dammit, even if I win, I still won't have enough. Not like I can turn back, though..." Let Lucith's curiosity carry you into the request.

So if this is the situation, why are you fucking around with this guy instead of robbing a bank or a wealthy normie.
