Are you alright?

It sounds like you need to relax, in a hot spring or something.

Oh, now where the fuck were you when you were supposed to be punishing that shithead Magun? The kobold is rubbing in the fact that he humiliated me beyond belief!
>>
No. 142217 ID: c0f3bf

Punish him how, by singing showtunes?

We're not exactly a fighting force, here. And what does Nirblilm have to do with anything?
>>
No. 142219 ID: b71223

what? do you only hear what you want to hear?
he's apologizing to you, he's saying he's sorry he wants you to stay and learn magic with him.I thought you wanted to learn magic, so you were emberassed I thought you were made of sterner stuff then that. he's not rubbing it in he's genuinly sorry. he doesn't want you to go and I know deep down somewhere... altough I'm not sure where, neither do you. now pick your self up, dry those tears, become a mage and show them you are a force to be reckoned with.
>>
No. 142221 ID: 632862

If you have any ideas for punishing Magun I would like to hear them. He's stepped out of line.

Nir is basically an idiot who doesn't really understand the consequences or implications of most of his own or anyone else's actions.

And when we were supposed to be "punishing" (???) Magun, we were busy talking him out of not cooking you alive. He was real keen on the idea for some reason.

He definitely hates you.

Nir not so much. Although I think he's starting to realize that you were screwing with him earlier for no especially good reason.

>>142224
Anyway though no Nir is not "rubbing it in;" he's trying to offer you emotional support.

I don't think he'd really know how to "rub it in."

Is this a joke? Is this a prank to humiliate me even more? I really don't want to be pissed off any more than I am.

Nir is sorry thats for sure. he truly. if you believe nothing else believe that.

No, Rojo. This isn't a prank.
>>
No. 142234 ID: c0f3bf

Rojo, if we were trying to prank you, we would convince Nir to kiss you or something, we don't have the attention span to do something so elaborate.

Seriously, you need to relax. Maybe kidnap Nir for a while, kobolds make great teddy bears in a pinch.

A kobold stuffed with cotton would be nice to have.
Nir:"You okay? You be black mage?

No. 142241 ID: c0f3bf

Jeeze, what is with you and killing kobolds?

What do you think, still want to learn some black magic? Or do you want to try something different now, like white magic?
>>
No. 142242 ID: 632862

>>142236
...I think he meant they're nice to hug. While alive.

Now, reassure Nir that you won't give up. We're going to help you stand up to Magun. Without making him want to kill you.

Killing kobolds is fun. It's hilarious to see them try and escape me. I don't know what I'll do now. Perhaps I'll just go back to the forest. Nobody ever humiliated me there.

No. 142255 ID: 632862

>>142251
You won't be able to eat them anymore. Not until the curse is lifted.

What about that magic college or whatever up north, though? You could learn black magic up there, then come back once you're strong and rub it in Magun's face that you succeeded without his help. Without trying to kill him, I hope.
>>
No. 142258 ID: c0f3bf

Are you a complete sociopath, or do you just hate them? Grow a goddamn backbone woman, a few practical jokes, some of which weren't even such, and you go sulking off to take your anger out on sentient, helpless people? Surely you're not that emotionally weak. Do your parents factor into this somehow? You made a freudian slip about them earlier.

...Gods damn it.
>>142258
What the... How the fuck did you... I sigh. My... I didn't exactly want to be a ranger when I was young. I wanted to be a black mage. That didn't work out too well. Everyone in my hometown was against me. I killed them all. They were stupid.

I burned the town to the ground. Every single person who died deserved it. It served them right for not letting me do what I want.

What's the harm in having a few kobolds be killed? I see none.
>>

this seems to be deep seated.
one day you may pick a fight with someone more powerful who feels the same way and they will kill you because they will reason 'what's the harm in killing a few fox-people? i see none.'

Magun did.

We convinced him to spare your life. That curse you have is his punishment, instead.
>>
No. 142312 ID: a85626

Yeah everyone trying to psychoanalyze Rojo good luck that's all I can say. Rojo, these dweebs don't understand that there wasn't one single person in that town who ever showed you any kindness, even in secret. Not once, not ever. Every single person you've met is stupid, not one of them ever succeeded in making you think. You are always right and never wrong. Magun had no right to embarass you like that; you only fired an arrow through him after all! Harmless pranks! And Nirblim should have known that was a joke. I mean come on, he's a 4 year old kobold. How could such a sophisticated being not detect the sarcasm when you said you killed his entire family?

You don't have to be right you know. Nobody's going to hate you for making a mistake. People will hate you for not admitting when you're wrong though, and when Magun does that it means you don't get to be a black mage. Either apologize, try to find a better teacher, or give up. He already got his revenge for you killing him with an arrow. Now his guard's down, and if you play your cards right you can get what you want from him after all. You just have to be... suave.
>>
No. 142313 ID: c0f3bf

Imagine if one of those kobolds grew up to be a black mage and ended up saving the world. Or a white mage, and kept you alive when you were mortally wounded. Or just farmed and grew food to feed people.

If you really need more reason, killing sentient beings makes you a bad guy. Bad guys often die. Imagine a hundred kobolds tearing you apart with their teeth.
>>

>>142309
So I get punished for what he thinks? That's stupid.
>>142312
I agree with you. After all, I barely make mistakes.
>>142313
No kobold is smart enough to be an effective mage. Not even Nir. And I'll just kill any kobold who tries to attack me.
>>
No. 142323 ID: c0f3bf

>>142321
And kobolds get punished for what you think. By your own logic, you are exactly what you hate.
>>
No. 142324 ID: 601a90

under-estimation has lead to the downfall ofmany people. while i don't doubt you could take a kobold or 10. 100 at the same time is a swarm you will run out of arrows before they run out of bolds and even if what they use only hurts getting whacked with a stick hundreds of times could seriously wound you.
>>
No. 142329 ID: 34470e

>>142323
I... I don't punish kobolds. I only kill them.
>>142324
If I run out of arrows, I can always use the dagger I have hidden and my brute strength. Kobolds are weak. They can't even lift their own body weight.
>>
No. 142330 ID: 632862

>>142328
Isn't death a punishment?
>>
No. 142331 ID: 601a90

if a kobold ever actually wanted to, it could become strong. the only thing stopping them is their childlike way they go through life and just not wanting to.
i know of this one kobold who became very strong not by working out but by ploughing the fields, by hand. for years he would plough and plant acres of land by himself never realising how powerful it was making him. when his tribe was attacked by some goblins he managed to fight them off because the years in the field had made him strong.

No. 142333 ID: c0f3bf

You are removing them from existence, any experiences they could have had, good and bad, no longer will occur. By killing them, you are essentially removing all possible means for them ever to experience happiness. If you beat them up, mugged them, or even tortured them, they could possibly have a chance to recover, but not if you kill them.

Have you ever heard of bulldog ants? They're smaller than your thumb, but a handful could kill you dead, and they're incredibly difficult to fight off.
>>
No. 142335 ID: 601a90

or army ants. the ones with big teeth open a hole in your skin and the tiny ones crawl in and eat you from the inside.

Death is not punishment.
>>142331
That's pure fiction.

((What quest was that?))
>>142333
Kobolds are too stupid to even know how to be happy.
>>142333

Magun is exponentially more powerful than you. If he practiced exploding the hearts of foxfolk (ones that aren't your old village, rangers and people like you), would that be wrong?

If death isn't a punishment, how come people are executed for theft and murder and other crimes?
>>
No. 142342 ID: c0f3bf

If death is not a punishment, why did you kill everyone in your village?
>>
No. 142343 ID: 601a90

no quest, i had a kobold camp and i set it so they could farm. when goblins showed up i drafted my farmer who must have been legendary +30 or something and he destroyed them

then i guess you can just leave, we are trying to convince you how the world works, but you don't want to believe us. when Nir finds you in like 20 years or something and you try to kill him, we aren't going to hold him back.

I guess we'll give you some time alone to think. Try to catch Nir outside the tower sometime if you want to talk again. Please, don't think too badly of him. He never knew you were doing those things in order to help him be a black mage.
