I still can't believe I'm doing this... and I can't believe I listened to you back there... and I also can't believe that I survived after listening to you back there.
So, since you kind of have a decent record of not getting me killed, what next?

Go to the inn. If you find a party, it'll make random encounters less deadly.

Also you mortals need food and shelter and stuff, don't you? Do you have any money on you?

We love rubbing up against your warm, smooth skin. It gives us feelings... groinal feelings in our crotches. Just... just touch us to your hair... maybe lick our cold, hard surface with a flick of your cute little elf tongue. Then, maybe, we can really start helping one another.

You think we have problems now? Consider being forced to occupy this orb with the rest of these... people, for a few thousand years. Can you imagine, spending centuries having to talk to these people?

When someone new comes along, it's a welcome break. Not to mention that, as an orb, there's nothing we can do about pent-up 'urges'. And since we don't have direct control over whoever holds us... well, let's just say you should be glad we can't force you to do anything.

So yeah, please don't throw us in a volcano, that would be rather annoying.

Oh right. You might want to know what I'm actually carrying in the bag, so here's a list.

1 Short Bow
20 Arrows
1 Full bag of... dried meat of some kind. I can't read Dorf runes.
1 Traveling Cloak, made of 3 traveling cloaks
1 Bottle of Dorfan Rum. I can probably use it as lamp fuel or something...
1 First Aid Kit
1 Mithril Spear...
>>

>>29811
You could probably sell the rum. Leather armor is the best bet for you, most likely, because it affords some mobility and can turn away claws and teeth, most of the time.

Look for a companion of some sort, to help you along. Lord knows two people are infinitely better than one.

>>
No. 29818 ID: 1689ab

I'm sure the inn owner would give you a good price on that rum if he also runs a tavern downstairs. That mithral spear is a pretty fine weapon too.... You should try to get some training in that pronto.
Armorwise, studded leather would probably be best for you. Though a fine chain shirt would be better if you can find one.
Hmm.. your funds arent going to last you enough to buy some really quality armor. Ask around for the town armorer, maybe he'll feel compelled to help you with your plight. Failing that, you may be able to perform some sort of heroic task for him in exchange for the armor.
Thats the great thing about being a hero, you get all sorts of nie stuff for free just by being nice to people.
>>
No. 29820 ID: 5e3a67

Don't buy studded leather. Either it's a ripoff (a few studs really won'y help much) or it's a brigandine, in which case it's probably too expensive and too heavy for you. At least i've never heard of elves liking that kind of armor.

Hmmm, there is a way we can get that spear back and acquire a rather more powerful companion at the same time.

Moonleaf go back to that ogre, apologize, and then ask him to join you. After all, only a limited number of people will ever go past his bridge, but if he moves around he can charge everyone he meets the "otherwise I'll squish you" toll. Perfect economic sense!

It really depends on what sort of ambient temperatures we're going to be facing. For cold temperature, that skirt is pathetic. If it's warm, it allows for pretty good freedom of movement. Of course, it provides no real protection from enemy weapons. I'd recommend boiled leather as a good material for your ideal outfit, since you don't seem to be overly inclined to put yourself in the sort of danger that only fullplate can stop, and boiled leather really doesn't restrict your movement too much.

Well, miss Moonleaf, first keep in mind your priorities. As an adventurer, one of your chief concerns is not getting killed. To that end, you want garments which can afford you protection while minimalizing any restriction to your movement. From the slightness of your frame, I'd say that metal is out of the question. That brings us to boiled leather. Attached is an appropriate design, which I feel maximizes protection without hindering joint movement. There is some small hindrance to trunk torsion, and bending over backwards may be physically somewhat awkward, but I believe my slitted corset design minimizes these downsides.

You might want to wear wool underneath to prevent chafing, though. And you'd definitely want to wear something over to obscure weakpoints.

No. 30511 ID: 1689ab

Moonleaf. The answer is clear. Those Goblins denied you your family. Tore your father from you before his time. Those goblins killed many good and brave men. So what you need to do, is you need to take this spear and you need to go out there, and you need to not stop until every last slimy goblin bastard has known ten times the suffering you have endured!
and then you know what? You're gonna find yourself a pegasus and you're going to storm the gates of hell itself, because not even death is a miserable enough ending for what they have done.
You are personally going to devour each and every goblin soul, and wipe history clean of their presence, so that not even the gods themselves will dare utter mention of that cursed race again, lest they face your wrath!
You elves are beings of peace. And by the forest and by your father's grave, you must swear that you will not rest until you am sure that not a single goblin survives to endanger that peace again.
Only then can vengeance by assured.

If I recall correctly, humanoids aren't really favored prey of anything. Too many bones, not enough fat, extremely salty, several poisonous organs. Even if you're resistant it's still not good for you.

Although admittedly it just might rip out a huge chunk from your stomach and leave.

More importantly, this is -Satan- we're talking about. Ten to one you can bargain with the displacer beast. Remember, it's an animal and a cat; protection, food, attention.

It's ok, Moonleaf. Don't think of yourself as someone who just created a life and then destroyed it. Think of yourself as a mother than just killed her kid.

O Light of my Life, I know it's difficult, but it was self defense. If you want to cry or yell or something, its fine. Just...remember to use your Minor Heal to patch yourself up. It hurts to see my beloved in such a state.

Try and crawl for shelter! Even being propped up against a tree is better than nothing. Hold on to your weapon, maybe you'll look dangerous to aggressors, even unconscious?
