You are naoko Takimoto, you're 24 years old today and ready to hit the town after a hard day at work.
Just as soon as you can find you're damn KEYS and WALLET.

transcribe the words leading up to this "using as a projectile weapon". would show that chillise was acting in a very suspicious manner and that caused naoko to assume she was speaking with something actively hostile and not a defensive thing.

Amy: Well of course she freaked out Look at you! Your a giant spider! there are people back home who couldn't even be is the same room as you! And correct me if im wrong but if someone says Dont mess with me bitch then some giant thing decloaks behind them your not going to assume friendly intent are you?... wait what did you just call me?
???: while it is true that.. wait how did you..

Lolumalus slithers forward quickly, interrupting the conversation whilst Korrok frantically signals the officer to drop that line of questioning.

Lolumalus: While im sure we would all like to clear up the confusion could we please do it once we are off the ship? id rather not be overwhelmed by what ever that stuff is while arguing the minutia of council law.
???: that is probably for the best, but there is a slight complication preventing our departure/
Lolomalus: ..please don't tell me you don't have a ship..
???: oh no, i have procured transport, but there are things i must attend to before we can depart, the benefactor will be able to explain more when we arrive.
Lolumalus: A benefactor? here? well that explains why you haven't simply detonated the ship..

no we seem crazy enough and we don't need to be seen as crazy in front of spider cop here

Also pretty sure they know something here but at the same time I'm a bet worried to just ask. I say just ignore it for now but keep eye's and ear's open from now on. Just ask what the plan is for now and we can figure the rest of this crap out later.

Benefactor?

Also, just detonating the ship seems rash. We don't know who or what else might be trapped on board. Like, that scary german talking alien who eats people. Well, bad example. You don't really want to see him again. But he doesn't necessarily deserve to be blown up! Nor does anyone else stuck here.

[[[ new scanner that im still getting used to so this will look a little of color for a while]]]

> quack chicken

You manage to force the increasingly bizarre urges into the back of your mind, the last thing you need is for them to think your crazy right now.

Amy: Isnt blowing the whole ship up a extreme reaction? you dont know who else is trapped on this thing. also whats a benefactor?
Lolumalus: You haven't seen the things that can come crawling out of a alvari ship, whole planets have been rendered barren by just one of their sick jokes, its best to not take the risk. As for Benefactors, they are the Panspermia of a race of sentient planets comprised of what can only be called living metal.
Amy:...Seriously? thats... actually kind of awesome!.
Lolumalus: Isnt it just? There a fascinating species, ill explain it all later when were safe.

You turn you're attention to the Spider-cop, making sure to try and ignore the Growing fungus on the glass behind him.

Amy: Indeed scientific enthusiasm aside it would be best if we made our way out of here. You know more about all of this then any of us here, so lay the plan out and well see what we can do to help.
???: Well First step is to retrieve the anthropomorph, if someone would be so kind as to bring her here?
Korrok: On it.
???: Thank you, be careful, the repair patch should have finished by now but her ribs will be sore for some time.

The Spider-Squid Points to the vents on the ceiling, which seem to have grown in size somewhat since you last looked at them.

???: Next i shall carry you through the vents to the safe area, were i shall go through standard retrieval procedure, as well as getting you to agree to the official secrets act. after that the benefactor will no doubt wish to explain the situation to you in more detail.
Security Protocol dictates that i restrain you for the journey, but considering the alarming disconnect between distance, size and time that i encountered within the vents, i believe you shall be far too disorientated to find your way back alone. If the disorientation gets to much for you, i can provide a blindfold that may help.

yeah at this point I think the guys who built this thing are just doing half of this crap because the can and not because it practical or anything logical.

Well it's not like we have any real plans to get off this ship so hey if this is our ticket home hot damn... still be weary of a backstabbing though. I don't think they will actually try and betray you (especially since right now if they really want to get rid of you they could do so easily) but we diffidently know they are keeping things from you.

[[[Whew man, life just got in the way of this big time, first i somehow take over a homestuck RP with about twenty people in it then my pc explodes on me -3-. but im back now and hopefully will pick up the pace somewhat sharpish once more, thanks for the patience :)]]]

Amy: So... there shredding the fabric of time and space..for ventilation? im starting to think these guys were doing all of this simply beacuse they could..

???: Well yes and no, my understanding is that the ship, while always capable of altering its internal structures, is despretley routing power into every system it can in order to drain its malfunctioning power supply.

Amy: Thats worrying... Quick question before i forget, but are you sure were are actually ON a ship? I mean, couldn't the thing have just wormholed us to a base somewhere?

???: Wormholes do not work like that, they are very delicate creations that require constant monitoring and a un-iteruptable power supply to function, you cant slap one ofn a ship and turn it of and on as you wish, once the vortex collapses its gone for good, leaving you with a very expensive piece of junk.
Theres also the fact that the only way to make them is to create the entrance and exit right next to each other then ship one side off to the exit point, a long and slow process hampered by the fact that wormholes do NOT react well to Jump drives, meaning the whole thing has to be done with conventional sub-light drives.
Hell of alot of effort but once there in place there a damn site faster, and more secure, then jump drives, there's far to many reports of some poor sod trying to avoid a toll gate and just Jumpign his way to a system, only to either vanish or arrive.. wrong.

As the strange Space cop finishes his tale Korrok returns to the group, Naoko nestled safe in his arms.

Korrok: Here we go, he's sleeping like a buddling, kinda cute in a ugly kind of way. Whats the plan now?
>>
No. 542031 ID: 084d53

again, Naoko is a girl, please don't call her a him or at least when in her presents as that is kinda seen as an insult back where we come from to call someone by there opposite gender.

Also are we heading back to the escape ship now or what. if so I guess we'd be fallowing the cop and if so we should try and place someone between him and Naoko so she doesn't freak out again if she where to see him.
>>
No. 542100 ID: f45380

Absent mindedly correct the pronoun and move on.

I guess we do the vents things now? I've run out of questions, and there isn't much here to do but what for the space-fungus to break though that probably-not-glass.

Still not sure I'm sold on the blowing the ship up plan, but I guess we play this by ear.
>>
No. 542132 ID: f9cf6a

Well, plan Vent Run seems to be the best and nearly only option right now, so go with it. Though wake Naoko up first (while facing her away from the space cop) and bring her up to speed on what's happening and get her used to the space cop. You really don't want her to wake up mid-trip in its arms and freak the fuck out.

And tell the space cop about the strange voice on the communicator, since it should know in case it didn't know already. What it wanted you to do and how it knew where your group was and probably knows where they are now. And it didn't want you to come up here after Naoko and got very peeved when you did, likely 'cause it didn't want you to meet the space cop.

This malfunctioning power supply, does the cop have any idea how long it'll be until the ship runs out of places to dump the energy out and what will happen when it does? You can take a guess that it'll be catastrophically bad just on from the fact this ship seems to be built out of wormholes and what'll happen when their power source becomes unstable.

Also, before going any farther, ask space cop what his/her/its name is, or at least an alias or designation you can use, just so you can properly address it.
>>
No. 542160 ID: 2f4b71

>wormholes have to be dragged around in normal-space
Well that would explain some of the Time Shenanigans that seem to be occurring. If one end of the wormhole is moving at relativistic speeds and experiences time dilation, and the other is not, you could end up jumping in and out of your own light-cone with impunity.
>>
No. 542168 ID: bf54a8

Pt 1

Amy: Enough! I understand cultural differences and all that crap, but youve heard me call Naoko She like four times now, she is female and your refusal to use the correct pronoun is starting to offend me.
Korrok: Female?
Amy: YES.
Korrok: ...this is some whacked out sexual dimorphism right here..

Gritting your teeth you force down the urge to smack Korrok Right in his stupid goat face, you distract yourself by turning back to the cop

Amy: Can we please just go now..
Officer: of course, if youll just allow me..

The cop snakes out its many thick tentacles and carefully lifts Naoko from korrok arms, it then places her on the flatter area of its back and secures her with a lengths of sticky fiber. it then reaches out once more and lifts both you and korrok into its arms with seemingly no effort.
Meanwhile lolumalus floats around the back of the Cop and takes hold of another length of string, attaching it to his shell.

Amy: Oh hey, what are we going to do to prevent Naoko freaking out when she wakes up?
Officer: Well cross that branch when we come to it, but i think i have a few ideas that might work.
Amy: hmmn ok, oh by the way do you have a name or title i can address you by? ive basically labelled you Space-cop in my head..
Officer: While on duty we have no names, we are mearly extensions of the law.
Amy: ..huh, ok then.

After placing you on its back the space cop quickly moves into the air vents, strangely while you know the journey to the vent took far longer then it should have, you cant actually remember moving, you just seem to suddenly be inside the oddly large ventilation shaft.

Amy: whoa that was odd..
Officer: If you thought that was disorientating...

Your head starts too pound and your vision swims, Its hard to stay upright as your mind struggles to take in all the conflicting information. the situation is not helped by another of the bizarre urges forcing you to calculate and plot out the trajectory of a small rubber ball bouncing its way down the non-existent surfaces.

Amy: Is. is she gonna be okay back there? i mean what if she wakes up before we get there?
Officer: The Medical Patch currently repairing her will ensure she remains unconscious, she will regain consciousness approximately 7 minuets after its removal, until then a super nova wouldn't wake her.
Amy: thats good, wont have to deal with that at least.. um.. that stuff back there, you called it a infection..

I love how that crap wrapped around Naoko looks like a spider web, she's just going to love how much effort we're putting in her to help deal with her fear of spiders, I can tell.

But yeah seeing as this guy seems to be the only one here that has any real combat experience, plus he's the only person here that has a ride of this ship, we probably should prob to hard less we piss him off. But I still don't like how he's not telling you things, could be he just doesn't want to talk about it, but it could also be something else. I mean the others have been doing that weird sign language crap around you when they think you're not looking. Just something to think about.
