I was hoping for the awkward kiss ignorance explanation, but that escalate the discomfort level even further. Let's do this! Maybe the rough love is still a possibility.

I let go of Stort's nose, causing her to retreat, holding her nose in her hands.
"Why did you bite me?"
"Was that not a lead up to a kiss?"
"Wha what?"
"You grabbed my shoulders and lean your face in towards me. From what I've read, that is typically how a kiss starts."
"Where did you learn that?!"
"From Bea's books."
She turns her head, "I.. I need to discuss what kind of things she's teaching you." she mutters. "And for your kind, that is not what a kiss is."
"Oh. How does my kind kiss?"
Her skin turns a darker shade, "You should probably ask Beatrice and Hoor that," she grins, "they would know better than I would."

"Incidentally," She looks back at me as I ask, "What gender are you?"
She blinks, silent for a moment before releasing bubbled giggles from her gills, "Ah yes, I forget that it's different for land races."

"Nereyas do not have male or female like your kind does. We are neither until we find a mate. At that point, the lead turns female while the partner turns male and stay that way for the rest of their life."
"And you do not have a gender?"
"No. I am neither male nor female at the moment."

>We are neither until we find a mate. At that point, the lead turns female while the partner turns male and stay that way for the rest of their life.

That's neat. I didn't know that. So do you want me to call you he or she then? I have kinda been using both interchangeably for awhile now.

And now for the finale.

"So then, you were grabbing me because you want to be my mate? Do you want me to be the lead?"

>>795815
I don't like this idea because ordering them to be yours will just end up with them thinking of it as a joke. We need to be srs here. We need to be sure of their feelings first. Also, we don't know how the claiming process works. Better ask them about it first!

Now, obviously, we need to turn Stort female so she can be a magical girl.

"Sorry, didn't mean to hurt you. You seem to know lots about kissing and taking mates and such. Can you help show me all this? Maybe I could help you become gendered if you want. Does romance ever happen outside your species. How are genders chosen then?"

But if both of us are female how will we know which of us is supposed to be the lead, or are you suggesting we help Strot find a boyfriend?

On no! Strot's water bubble around their head is gone! Act worried and ask Strot if they're ok because you're worried about their water bubble being gone!

The fact that Stort would go female implies we took the lead, sort of by definition.

"Then were you perhaps trying to mate with me?"
Strots face grows the same color as before, but it's more noticable. "No! No no no. Please don't be mistaken. I was just excited because you're the first Rabbold I could talk to. Forgive me, please. Besides, you're not my type."

"So should I refer to you as a he or she from now on?"
"Well, I'm okay with either. Between Nereya, we use gender neutral terms for those of us who don't have a partner yet."
"So how does it happen?"
"Pardon?"
"Finding a partner. Kissing. Turning male or female. Making children. That kind of stuff."
"Ah, that is not a subject for young ones such as yourselves."
"Why?"
"It... It is a private thing for Nereyas." He says, shaking his head. "Maybe if you were older."

He lowers his body so his hands are on the ground, "We should head back, lunch time is almost over."

Is Strot even aware of the fact that their water bubble around their head is gone? I think we should tell them before they start having a hard time breathing!
>>

Since there is nothing more that we can learn from them their only use for us would be as sustenance, so if there's no witnesses around we should eat them.

Or

If we have to play nice with our food, wich will inevitebly come and bite us in the future, we can say it was good talking to them and compliment their voice or something.

Hmm. Strot could be handy. They will deffinantly want to pursue a friendship, and friends are good. Especially friends that can eventually lead us to another species to consume. We will need to eat at least one eventually.

Well this is a conundrum. Does he want you to absorb him? Why else would he say you're not his type? You could be his type, by absorbing him, but then there wouldn't be any reason to be his type, because you absorbed him.

Go to the open markets, buy a few things, act cute and innocent. Remember, your stats and abilities make you strong enough to take on a praetorian guardsman, so you can take advantage of your devouring violence by luring in gang members and eating them when they try to kill you.

Good plan, except the market during the day isn't the best place to find rapists and murderers. We should wander the rough parts of town at night if we want to lure crooks.

There is no point in absorbing people with weak or no skills.
We might as well cull the monster population around the village if we cannot absorb magic holders or stronger guild members.

>>796055
This Isn't prototype though. Emils gains almost nothing even from skilled people beyond their mass. After absorbing 20 soldiers she barely got a few unrefined talent's and that was probably mostly from observing those skills be used against her.

Absorbing monsters and animals is a must though. More forms, bloods, and breath weapons.

Emils learns skills from observation.
Emils learns biological functions from consuming.

Emils can't learn skills from consuming, but she might be able to learn biological functions from observation.

Eating people risks being discovered, which would be Very Bad, but would yield little to no advantage over her current form.

Going out into the wild alone and eating monsters is much less risky, and provides greater variety.

More biomass AND more disguises. If she eats a high-ranked member of a crime family, she can pass herself off as the bastard princess between a mafia lord and a duchess. If she eats a famous rogue mage she can pass herself off as his daughter. Stuff like that will get her access to higher levels of learning.

The idea of hunting in the wild had been repeated as a suggestion to gain mass, but I imagine eating things like wood would be much more efficient in that regard. She can digest anything, so the quality of the food is irrelevant.
>>
No. 796081 ID: 3abd97

I still think grave robbing to steal magic cores is a good idea. All those spells, just sitting there for the taking... and no one would even know when they go missing.
>>
No. 796085 ID: d63ea8

>>796076
Actually, going after and absorbing a tree (or some other kind of plant) might not be such a bad idea. In addition to some guilt-free mass we could possibly gain other abilities like photosynthesis. We'd just have to make sure the garden or woodland is isolated enough for us to not be caught by some random pedestrian.

Good point. Let's go hunting!

Vigilante Justice can come later, with eating optional. After all, to be the Best Magical Girl, Emils must fight evil.

Emils got spear- and swordplay skills by absorbing. The thing she doesn't absorb is information.

Dragonblood will interfere with any [Organic Mimic] so our disguises are a little limited in terms of use.

Ultimatly she will need to shed some of our excess mass if she still needs to hide herself among others, all the furniture she breaks would become a little conspicuous and I think Victor is catching on...
>>
No. 796116 ID: 398fe1

>>796076
That won't work. Emils only gains mass from eating recently-deceased animals. It needs to have mana in the body in order for it to be processed into slimemass. Otherwise, all it can do is support Emils' currently mimicked body's dietary requirements.
