Apologize to him in advance because you're going to bombard him with a bunch of questions!

Ask him if he knows where you can find a working Waystone? Or is the broken one in his shop the only Waystone in town?

Ask how the phone you were using works? Was it a part of his Dare power or was it a Summon? And how did it reform when you smashed it?

Can his Dare ability only work with phones?

Ask him what he's working on?

You'd like to borrow some jackrabbit porn.

Or you'd like to know if he fancies anyone.

Or maybe he could actually teach you something instead of just brushing you off with a "you have to learn this ^&*( on your own" speech.

You: What's that Dare ability you have ? Is it some sort demon summon ? If it is then why couldn't I sense it ? Is it some sort of Aberrant Summon ?

Burqel: No, a few years back I did a little research on how demons function as living beings and managed to find something interesting. You see, with enough work it is possible to physically cross over to the Aether.

You: Shit really ? You've been there ?

Burqel: Well I haven't myself but a scout brought something back. Apparently there are demonic beings that are unsummonable even by way of Aberrant Summon designing, the scout brought back a demonic plant specimen and from that I was able to grow Dare over the course of about three years.

You: Incredible!

Burqel: The problem is Dare need's three phones to work, the phone I had, the phone my wife had, and the phone you were being targeted through. It's inaccurate and very unlikely that it'll work unless a lot of planning goes into making it happen.

Burqel: So if you wanted to make it work you'd need a big enough demonic sample, three phones, two skilled enough pagans to operate two phones, and three or four years to grow the stuff with your blood.

You: Hmm, okay then, and are there any waystones around here ?

Burqel: Besides the broken one at the shop no, and even then it's only the shell you'd need someone incredibly knowledgeable in that sort of technology to fix it. I couldn't help you, it's some sort of mix of technology and magic.

Ada could probably fix that!

Oh, wait, we can't mention anything Ada told us to anyone. She's trying to keep that a secret. And even if she did agree, she's still a business woman, so she's probably going to charge a huge amount of money to fix it!

So, no mentioning Ada's name, Arcamachina, or The Unter, to anyone!

Maybe if we look at a map we could find- no wait, that won't work either. The Unter's location is a secret to the Church and the best way to avoid the Church is to not have your city printed on a map!

Crap, I guess we can't do anything with that broken Waystone for now.
>>

Ask how the door works and if it could be used to send you to the previous pagan safe location and back. If it can you could basically walk the waystone to Ada and back once fixed.
>>
No. 832610 ID: 8d4593

I might know someone, but I'll need to get back to Ender Port or find another working Waystone to get back to them.

Could you mark the approximate location in the Wastes you found it? Even if I get it to the technician there are likely more parts That I'll need to retrieve before they can fix it.
>>
No. 832613 ID: 91ee5f

>>832610
It would be much easier if we brought Ada with us to identify the parts. But since she's not going to leave her shop, unless she's willing to take a few days off to come and help us, we really are gonna have to use Issei's really big bag to haul a bunch of parts to her!

Then again, Burqel's shop is a bunch of random junk found out in the Wastes, so he might already have the parts to fix it in the back of his shop. But he wouldn't know if he's got them or not because he doesn't know what the parts look like. Again, it all comes down to us needing Ada to identify the parts.

.....huh, I guess that's something we can ask Ada about next time we visit her. Did her people invent the Waystones and Waykeys?
>>
No. 832615 ID: 91ee5f

Also, mention to Burqel that you figured it was 2 different people texting you, since you kept getting texts that were switching back and forth between complete sentences and "text talk".

And ask Burqel how he convinced Clancy to let him use the back of his shop for that ambush he had set up? Is Clancy also a Pagan?

No. 832616 ID: 8d4593

>>832613
Even if any parts we find aren't the right ones, Ada might have some herself. It's just that parts in general are rare and expensive. She might be willing to part with some of her own stock if we bring her something to trade.

ALso, can Burquel Help you with the Enhancement Ritual?
A new Spell or regaining Voyeuristic Globule would be nice.

You: Where did you find the waystone shell ? maybe there are more parts near it.

Burqel: What do you think I didn't search the whole area ? I scoured that patch of desert for hours and couldn't find anything else, I wouldn't just stop after finding something big like this.

You: well, I might know somebody who can fix the shell, but do I still need to pay for it ?

Burqel: I would prefer it, we do need money to keep things running here. It's one of the most valuable items that we can sell in the shop.

You: Alright...but, just to be fair you did almost kill me. I hate to be that guy but I can't just gloss over that part.

Burqel:...Listen I can't give you that shell for free, but what if I give you something just as useful if you keep your mouth shut ?

You: Like what ?

Burqel: I can either give you a list of Level 3 Summons to use, or I can give you one of the Demonic Samples I've obtained from the scouts.

You: And what can I do with a Demonic Sample ?

Burqel: With a little work and one of your weapons you can make a demonic weapon, which means it'll have an extra ability in addition to anything it already has. It'll be random but still effective. One or the other I can't give up both.

Random bonus demon gun powers activating when we shoot things?

Hell yes.
>>
No. 832864 ID: 65dabf

If the weapon, say, a gun, doesn´t need special bulets, then go for that, i like shooting shit up, in fact, i think Gallous needs to shoot more shit up, because it's fun, and cheeper than summons materials.
If not, yay, more, better summons!
Did i mention that shooting is fun?
>>
No. 832867 ID: 3ce125

Summons. We don't have a single level 3 summon, that is a massive improvement. Also we need to remember that Gallows is a Rune Child, his speciality is summoning. Shooting things is a secondary skill and he's not inherently better at it than anyone else, so we shouldn't focus on it.

>Can't we get a demonic sample from Fiddler Imp anyway?
Burqel: Summoned demons completely disappear back to the Aether upon death along with any part of them thats been removed, the demonic sample comes from a creature that cannot be summoned and thus does not disappear back to the Aether so it can be used for other purposes.

>Is Clancy also a Pagan?
Burqel: Yeah he is, but I didn't get permission. In fact he's probably gonna be pissed about that later...

>Level 3 Summons.
You decide to take the level 3 summon list, there are three demons included on the list.

Harvester: (100)Gold, Gemstone, Something Stolen
Small and fast demons that specialize in finding and collecting objects.

Choirkin: Tongue, (3)Teeth, Sugar, Something made of Fabric
Shy and timid demon that can cast protective barriers with its singing.

Fulgurbeast: (3)Pieces of Metal, Caustic Substance, (2)Animal Viscera, Something Conductive
Large beastly demon that can shoot bolts of lightning off of its fur.

>Harvester: Small and fast demons that specialize in finding and collecting objects.
That'll be helpful. I don't know when it'll be helpful, but I'm sure we'll think of something.

>Choirkin: Shy and timid demon that can cast protective barriers with its singing.
Maybe Fiddler Imp and Choirkin could be a good musical duo?

And at the rate we keep getting music related summons, we'll eventually have enough of them to form a band! Then we could have a literal battle of the bands! XD

>can't Fiddler Imp bring us a sample?

Burqel: When you do a summon ritual you can only summon the demon the ritual was made for.A demon cannot bring anything it's carrying with it at the time of summoning.

You: -but Fiddler Imp always has a violin with it when it comes in. Why can he bring that with him ?

Burqel: Well there's one of two explanations: Either that violin is made out of his blood and is technically a part of him, or somebody gave it to him when he was summoned once.

Burqel: Certain demons have perfected a type of crafting that allows them to alter the state of their blood and create physical objects to use. They can make their blood harder or even thin enough to become string, and since the blood is part of them they can take it anywhere...

Burqel: -and if you give a demon something it can keep it and bring it back and forward with it to and from the Aether, that's really only a good idea if its an Aberrant Summon though since there's no guarantee that you'll summon the same regular demon twice.

Burqel: Anymore questions ?

I've got a pretty good feeling that violin was given to him. And I think his previous summoner, this "Moji" guy, was the one that gave Fiddler Imp his violin!

>Anymore questions?
"Fiddler Imp is the only Aberrant Summon I've got, so I'm not sure if it's normal or not, but I just wanted to ask: Is it normal for summons to get attached to their summoners? Because when I first summoned Fiddler Imp, the little guy started to cry a little when he found out how many years had passed since his previous summoner had summoned him."

Fiddler seems upset after his comment about death, probably thinking about Moji's death. Come to think of it with a full name you may be able to ask about his last known whereabouts.

That definitely cheered him up, the only thing that could make him happier is a song, but what should you play ? Anything as long as it's a duet should be fine...

You: I know a song we can play if you want to. Follow my lead.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cjymPx4xJg

You begin and Fiddler follows quickly, he can pick up a tune nice and quick. The song you play is high energy fast in some places but one you've practiced a lot on your own, you can help but dance along with your playing and Fiddler follows your lead. You two sort of forget there are other people around, eventually someone turns down the volume on the radio so they can hear you playing better. Soon enough everyone in the breakroom is watching you two play.

As the song finishes the small crowd of people cheer and applaud you, you were so focused on playing you didn't notice Troy walk in with Uma.

Troy: Are you two havin' a jam session down here ? I gotta say I've never heard violin be played like that.

Uma: That was so good! I never knew demons could play music.

Yeah apparently there's some kind of demon civilization in the Aether. It's pretty cool.

(to Troy) Nuh just having fun jamming with my demon buddy.
(to Uma) Shure they can there is a hole society in the Aether, what's stoping them? Plus Fiddler here is special in that regard he could play with even the best musicians if only the church would let him.
(both flattering Fiddler Imp and answering the questions at the same time, might as well show that he is your demon buddy)

Time for an encore! Or at least one more song! This time, let Fiddler decide! You can pick the next one, Heretic!

Let's see if we can get some people to dance this time!

>you were so focused on playing you didn't notice Troy walk in with Uma.
Oh, good, Troy and the scouts found Uma!

>>833193
>That was so good! I never knew demons could play music.
"Yeah, but don't expect any of them to play the violin better than Fiddler here!"

Then give Fiddler a friendly pat on the back!

Oh, yeah, who found Uma first, the scouts or Troy? And if it was the scouts, did they accidentally scare Uma into thinking she was being attacked?

Ask these after the encore.....if there is one.

>>833203
Well, we know Troy's got an old bass guitar and we know Issei can whistle along, so it would be pretty nice if Uma could sing!

But she seems like she might be a little shy, so if she doesn't want to sing, let's not pressure her into performing.

Although, to be honest, I'd rather keep this as a duet between Roland and Fiddler for now.

Maybe we can play something to get some people to get up and dance? Maybe even get Troy and Uma to dance with each other? ~

while you have some downtime make some summoning packs also it may not be super important but find a herbalist and get a mortar and pestle you could make things out of like poisons or medicinal things (obviously wouldn't be as effective as actual medicine or medical treatment but it could be useful if you are in a situation where you cant play healing music or had no access to good medicine etc)

You: I don't know about most demons but Fiddler here's talented. So you found Uma ?

Troy: Yeah, In hind sight sendin' somebody with no prior experience to find a hidden group of pagans wasn't the best idea I've had

Uma: I-I might've gotten a little lost...sorry.

Troy: Anyway, it's startin' to get late. If there's anythin' we want to do we're goin' to have to wait 'til mornin' for now I suggest we get some well deserved rest.

As good as another song sounds you were already pretty tired to begin with, sleep sounds good right now.

You show your group to their rooms: you and Troy share one, Issei and Uma get separate ones.

Troy: Hey Gal...what do you think Castles gonna show us ? Freitast told me that we were getting closer to something dangerous, d'ya think it could be that ?

...

Man's Voice: This is getting ridiculous, Leighton and Ann are both gone. It's like they just think they don't have to report in to their high priest. Whitney, where were their last known whereabouts ?

Young Girl's Voice: Leighton was sent on a mission by our Bishop to find heretics in Ebony Port

Man's Voice: -and I wasn't informed of this ?!

Young Girl's Voice: Of course not, you know the Ministry barely trusts us. Of course they have the right to be suspicious.

Man's Voice: Fine...and where's Ann ?

Young Girl's Voice: I actually don't know sir. We haven't seen her since she was sent to deal with that pagan alert near Gudon.

Man's Voice: Dammit! It's not going to look good if we keep losing Priests! I though it was you're job to keep track of the Whitney!

Deep Voice: Karas is missing too...

Mans Voice: What!? Son of a bitch! We're never going to get this plan started if half of our team is gone somewhere we don't know about!

Young Girl's Voice: Calm down Gunner, we still have the support of Circle Ezekiel and Circle Mikael. Besides we have no idea if Ann or Karas were okay with the plan, Karas was sort of a creep anyway...

Deep Voice: I saw both Ann and Karas 'fore they went quiet...

Young Girls Voice: You should of said something dummy! Gunner's gonna blow a fuse.

Deep Voice: Ann was talkin' 'bout the pagan she was chasin' and from the sound of it Karas went to check 'im out.

Young Girl's Voice: See Gunner? We have a lead I'll get stuff prepared and you can go rest, that vein in your foreheads popping out again.

Man's Voice:...We need everything to go smoothly, it doesn't help that the Church is starting to make a move on some unknown lead. Everybody needs to stay one hundred percent focused on the plan. Djuna get Ezekiel and Mikael on the messengers.

Deep Voice: Right boss!

Man's Voice: Report to me if you find out anything about this pagan or about the whereabouts of Leighton, Ann, and Karas. Amen ?

Deep Voice/Young Girl's Voice: Amen.

Man's Voice: Good. Dismissed.

Has Gallows Ever thought about giving the Azerite to fiddler imp for safe keeping instead of walking around with it in his pocket becouse that seems safer with the whole thing of it not being within reach of those who aren't pagans.

Roland, you fool! Don't fall asleep with it in your hand! You're gonna end up dropping it!

>>833459
But then if Roland ever gets captured or killed and none of the other Pagans know that he gave the Azurite to Fiddler Imp, then no one would ever get it back!

Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if another demon sees Fiddler Imp carrying the Azurite and they come and mug him and steal it! Then we'd never find it again!

Correct, Issei took care of her, but he didn't kill her, since Karas said that Ann was the one that told him about us.

What happened, as told by Issei here: >>/questarch/806338 , is that he caught her off guard, picked her up, and then just flung her as far as he could.
>>
No. 833529 ID: 3ce125

She probably thinks Issei was a summoned demon. He beat her up, so she thinks she lost to one of Gallows' summons.
