Hmm, these things look like good items to have Sticks use to help with guard duty. She can move around a lot using her sneaking ability, and possibly climb trees to get a better firing angle.

The snoipah's crossbow may come in handy, as well as the cloak. You also do not have a weapon that's handy in close quarters, in places a spear would be silly, so take the machete. Also READ NOTE.

The cloak is too big for Sticks, but it may be well suited for Iesgip, as is the crossbow.

The letter regards the Fang's work. It seems he was eager to deal with us.

The Fangs Mercenary Company..
Their intentions pose a more direct threat than the 'Boss', but they're mercenaries. That means there is a third threat that is acting through the Fangs.
I have no way of finding out who and why.

I can no longer return to the woods near the 'Boss' cave due to his influence.

I should look into a change of tactics.

Like I said before, contemplate sending Sticks to the Refugee camp to further reconnaissance on the boss. We'll check in regularly for situational reports, well hopefully, we aren't in control of who we see and when. You're the only one not welcome at the camp, aside from Black Fang for obvious reasons.

Another tactic is moving the base father west to the volcano, a perfect defense position from the Fangs, though it leaves the kobold's services hindered a bit. My position is that we could leave the kobolds and Sticks here as the support part of our army to maximize their potential and build the offense in the volcano, but that leaves them vulnerable to attack and raids.

Also, please have Black Fang help you remove the harp from the war room. Eleven spirits may possess it. That elf wasn't there because he was immortal, he had supernatural powers over the ruins probably because he was a Zombie Ghost.

I focused my energy on digging the Fang's grave, so by the time we were ready to ride on my blood was flowing normally again.
I've informed the others and retreated to the warroom. I wish.. to be alone for a moment.

I can't send Sticks to stay with the refugee camp. As the name should imply, it's a camp for refugees. Their main goal is to survive without a home, and possibly reconstruct their city.
There is no place for a spy among them.

"The Knight Blades" is a name unknown to me. We may have been mistaken for another group.
Communicating that to our assailants will be difficult.

What the hell is wrong with you people? We're called "SUGGESTION" for a reason. We're not just here to chat with the boss! We're here to guide him.

Right now we know that our main concern is these assassins. They're getting closer, better, and they're not letting up. We need to find out who, from where, and why. To this end, speak with Black Fang, present him the note. Ask if he knows the sender, Yellow Fang, and ask if he knows anything about the Knight Blades. It's referred to plainly on the letter so it's obviously already understood. Ask about any old hideouts, anything he knows about their tactics or motives (beyond the obvious "anyone who pays well").

Anything he can tell us, any insight he can give is one step closer.

The letter says that if this assassin dies, they'll lose their eyes and ears. Well, he's dead. Now is the best time to move closer, when they can't hear us. Perhaps it is not yet the time to strike, but the time to move is certainly now.

... you made yourself known as a knight to two seperate people who may be aggressive.

We have the revolutionaries
And that noble who dispised the old kingdom

Those are two places to look at. We know for a fact that they are most likely not the 'Boss'
(he woulda poisoned you dead)

I'm saying we should inspect the revolutionary camp for signs of deals. They're the most likely to have a grudge

Well, since it appears we have absolutely no leads to go on, we will just have to wait until the Fangs rear their head again.
For now we are 'invisible'.

Now then, I have to try to focus.
I have one goal to achieve: The destruction of the 'Boss' and his forces.
To achieve them I need to know more about him, and raise a skilled army myself.

Sticks' spying mission has gone awry due to the 'Boss' influence in the area. I may have been too naive regarding this matter as I am no politician.
Gaining a strong presence and support in the area will be important.

The raising of an army has reached nearly no progress. I have secured a humble base and a stable group, but nowhere near a true fighting force.

While the 'Boss' is using underhanded tactics and manipulation it is easy to think I may have to do the same... but that is not where my strengths lie.
I am a knight. I have been raised and train to lead an army, not to lead a political or social movement.

Nnhh.. It feels like the stress is getting to me. But I should really achieve something before I can rest easily again.

Well, if you must chose to ignore the Fangs by not questioning Black Fang, we need to get a politician in our group then. Honestly we still didn't get as much as we could from him but if you're so certain of nothing to be gained from such questioning methods...

Perhaps a longer journey is required. We need to get a politician of our ideals and this current area of thieves and wild men is not going to be it. I request details on settlements more northern or southern.

Oh, idea: Go out on a soldier roundup with Black Fa, use it as a chance to let him help in teaching others. Should help him understand more about what he wants out of life along his personal path, and both of you should make for some imposing fighters looking for recruits to train.

Hit the nearest benign population mass, and only take the ones who seem fairly dedicated to either fighting for you or growing strong and famous under your tutelage. The destruction of this boss. Try to get a minimum of ten you think have the right mindset and sufficient basic capabilities, even if that means hitting multiple villages to meet those you feel suitable. After all, should make for much fame for those you recruit. And for you, you gain the seeds of an army, to fulfill your goals.

You need the foundations of an army, you need new recruits.

Black Fang is the most physically intimidating member of your group thus far.

Ask Black Fang if he would like to come with you, recruit the beginnings of an army (10 recruits minimum), and then aid you in spending the time needed to get them up to snuff.

Black Fang might like the idea of teaching others, passing on what he knows. Should give him a chance to build on the sparring he had with Ridder, and more thoroughly analyze how he fights.

The area around D-17 is called the Red Hills by the common man. There live rugged people in towers of clay. They represent the final border to the Far North.
..At least, that is what I overheard. I have never been there.

I know little specifics of the continent. I spend my youth in Piacevol. Unlike the prince I was not educated in the ways of the world. My training focused on battle.

It will be a good idea to visit the elves. I live in such close proximity to them already.
A best case scenario will provide an alliance and recruits for my army.
The worst case scenario will have them turn hostile because of my intrusion.

The recipe for black powder is 75 percent potassium nitrate, 15 percent charcoal and 10 percent sulfur. This is usually measured by weight: 75 parts to 15 parts to 10 parts.

Finely grind the ingredients. For safety's sake, grind them all separately and clean out the mortar and pestle thoroughly between crushings.

Mix all of the ingredients with a small amount of distilled water until the substance is the consistency of cookie dough.

Place small amounts of the mixture in a fine sieve and slowly pour small amounts of alcohol through them. This is a dangerous step; do not perform it near sparks or flame. This step can be skipped, but the resultant black powder will be of poor quality.

Hand-form the mixture into small, rectangular shapes. This is called "corning." Allow the shapes to dry thoroughly.

I will treat her normally as conforming to her wishes.. but it costs me a lot of energy to ignore what has happened.

As for prince Muschio.. I have not thought of him in a long time.
When the revolutionists reached the castle I covered his escape through the servants exit... It was the last time I saw him.
I spend years looking for him with no success.

The prince and I.. We were rather close. He is slightly younger than me, and I believe he looked up to me as a big brother figure. I was honored that he saw me like that as I was merely the son of two knights.

Silently ponder the androgynousness of elves.
And also the fact that these two are practically naked.

shit. Elves.

Eat nothing they offer.
Drink nothing they offer.
Stand in or don no circles, rings or spheres.
Broker no deals.
Agree to nothing.

I silently follow them. They each take my hand and gently guide me through the trees.. until the roof of leaves opens up.

"Welcome to the holy city of Wonderseed~"

Assume they are hostile! If you see anything or notice anything that could even possibly, remotely indicate any sort of hostility, get the fuck out of there with extreme prejudice!

Actually, never mind that, just get the fuck out anyway! Remember the last time you encountered an elf? Yes, you might argue that he was somewhat... hostile, but ancient curses do not intall metal hooks in the cieling! They did that on purpose! Get out while you still can!

These people aren't going to have the tech of the mansion, they probably gave up all industry a long time ago the lotus eating hippies. Can't even make proper clothes it seems.

There are wood elves, the backwoods descendants, ragtag survivors and careless inheritors of the High Elven Golden Age.

I say better safe than dead and dancing from a meathook, bugger off until you can come back with some sort of advantage.
What kind of advantage? Well, reading a few books on them can't hurt, even if it's just skimming.

Are these women or just androgynous elf dudes?

Oh I don't doubt that they are likely infected with their own Fae madness their existence entails.

But Wood Elves are far more likely to be into seducing you into a bed of rosethorns, eating you alive, or turning you into some kinda Wicker Man sacrifice (fortunately, I don't think you actually qualify for 'that' particular rite anymore) to honor the Green Man, the Horned Pan, or the Magna Mater.

As opposed to the more technologically savvy High Elven death mazes, auto-butcher traps, and macabre works of high art.

Hermaphroditic androgynites. And they know how to make wolfoids.
