This is a mistake.
But I'm going to do it anyways.
Howdy TGchan, Name's Clock.
Well, Clock Prime if you wanna get technical.
I'm lacking inspiration so I thought, "Hey, I don't hate myself enough, let's spill my storytelling guts to the internet!"
...
Like I said, this is probably a bad idea.
So once again, Howdy.
Ask away.

I am doing well, and if Lena Dunham was coming after me, I don't think I would have to shoot her.
If the alleyway is crowded, I could simply avoid by blending in.

Pastebin is a chill place to just dump loads of text.

If it's not a direct copypaste, then mediafire's your best bet.

>spill my storytelling guts to the internet!

Go ahead my man, start screaming and ranting about your ideas, this isn't any super official affair, so just go nuts and we can give you some criticism or something dumb like that maybe?
>>

Pastebin? I normally use that for code, but yeah, I could see that.
>>117085
Okay...
I... have trouble deciding on midpoints to my stories. I can write endings, beginnings, prologues, epilogues, sequels, prequels and scattered plot points, but when it comes to stitching together these into a fluid story-beast, I fall short. This is why Fearquest is in stasis and Mask Saga is on indefinite hiatus.

I know that feeling from playing dungeon master with my friends. What I have found is that when I want to lead my players down a path to advance the story what I need to is ask myself, how can I lead my players towards the goal without railroading? What I have done in the past is give my players a set goal. How they go about this goal however is entirely up to them as long as it does not go to far off track.
Say for instance the main goal is to kill the big-bad, you let the players find a way to do this. Sometimes this means slowly gathering support of an army or trying to win the favor of a king, something that advances your story while also advancing their own. That's the best part, if you can advance your story while also incorporating your players back-stories, they will love you for it.
Now something you want to avoid if you can help it is set one exact ending. In my experience what this does is lead your players down a route they might not necessarily want to go down. Instead what you should do is let their own actions dictate the ending you have set forward. Maybe the ending will go down exactly as you planned or maybe your players did something not even you expected them to do and this can change the outcome in a specific way for good or ill. But mainly, and I think this is the most important rule to follow, is always ensure that you are having fun along with your players. If the game is no longer fun then it's time to stop. That's not to say you should immediately give up but try and work things around. What I have found through not only d&d, but questing as well is listen to your players and what they want to accomplish with this game, that's what the discussion threads are partly there for after all. So ironically by starting this new story the way you did, you actually made yourself more accessible and open to ideas and listening to your audience. And sometimes you just need a small pep-talk to get you out of a bad mood. You are doing a fine job and everyone deserves to have their story be told, what will yours be?

You make a good point. It seems like my whole life I’d known what is forbidden. I’ve seen so many other realities and timelines that everything just feels... pointless. Even if I hadn’t had those “hallucinations” of the Reality-marbles and Eyes, I understand that our only true purpose in this planet is to overrun it, until there are no more resources left to support us and we all starve, asphyxiate or die of thirst. The population is getting there more quickly then I would like, and in addition, the instant-gratification has caused me to crave strife. I hate everything and everything hates me. I don’t know why I even bother to stick around, but obviously I can’t commit suicide because A: I’m too lazy to put effort into acting out one of my numerous plans and B: I’ve tried before, but it seems this world won’t let me leave. God damn do I wish my life wasn’t so devoid of enjoyment or purpose...

That’s because it really won’t let you leave brother. Let me tell you some things. I believe that we all have some purpose we are meant to fulfill in our lives. And it’s a damn tragedy when we think we can’t realize them. But we can. Believe me, I’ve been where you are. But I was asked one question and it was that question that kept me going, and it’s still keeping me going.

“What’s a moment in your life that you can afford to miss?”

For me, that moment that I cannot afford to miss, is the moment that I become a dad. That is my goal and my dream. I want to be there for that moment more than anything.

No one has a “true” purpose, like you say, just a bunch of people trying to get by the only way they know how. And that’s what people need to realize, these problems aren’t the masterminds of any comic book style villain, it’s just people trying to take the easy way and ignoring the consequences. And you know what else, I don’t hate you. I want to help a guy who sounds like he is down on his luck and just confused and angry.

Do you see these?
>>117149
>>118705
>>118720
Those were me. I’ve been here a while. And I think you are a fun guy. You make great stories. The only thing that doesn’t let you fulfill them is your own self doubt. But I want to see your stories completed, and your goals fulfilled. And I truly believe you can fulfill them, even if you think no one cares, rest assured, you will always have one person that cares, and I urge you to get more help if this is a problem, i’m just one person but I guarantee you there are literally scores of people who would help you any day, and any time, and I urge you to please seek help you need and deserve.

So here is the goal i’m giving you, find something, or even someone that needs you in their lives, because that is why you are here now. That moment or that person is why you are here now. Your goal, is to just find them. And it may seem hard, and there are days when you feel like giving up but I tell you with every ounce of honesty and care I have in my body.

You are not alone.

You’re partly right! This takes place in a dieselpunk alternate universe to the Mainline. Xander is part of the underground Rebellion, think Wolfenstien as told my “Hitler”’s son Fredrick. Der Führer is a much kinder person at heart, wanting a world devoid of conflict because of his service during WWI. Unfortunately, diplomacy failed and he resorted to a military takeover of the world. He used the subsequent world economic depression to rise to power. Xander used to be a friend of the “Clock King” (his nickname for always being puntual to the millisecond) but they drifted once things started getting violent. Now Xander is one of the three Rebel leaders, Bastion and Grimm being the other two. He is much more forgiving of the crimes of the Ebony Eagle’s regime. Pictured is Henrick “King Clock” von Rechcigl. Remember Klok? From the failed predecessor to Contact, CLOCKT(alk). This is Klok’s dad. Granted, Klok has been recycled into Fredrick, but many of their physical traits remain the same.

Xander does speak WWII British English, but sometimes he’ll slip into his native French when he can’t think of the word in English or is just THAT pissed. Now that I think about it, maybe I should make him Belgian... that would fit better.

There is an old tradition
A game we all can play.
You start getting liquored up
And sharpening you blade!
You take a shot of whiskey,
grab your knife and pray,
And spread apart your fingers and this is what you say!

Ohhh!
We have all our fingers,
The knife goes chop chop chop!
If I miss the spaces in-between
Our fingers will come off!
And if I hit our fingers
The blood will suse come out
But all the same we play this game
because that’s what it’s all about!
Oh!
CHOP CHOP CHOP CHOP
CHOP CHOP CHOP CHOP
I’m picking up the speed!
And if I hit out fingers
Our hands are sure to bleed!

Time to address the elephant in the room with a shotgun and two alka-seltzers.

Harbard's the only one besides me who has posted in Contact for OVER THIRTY-ONE DAYS, and I grew bored of it. Return has gone on hiatus, again, and that's AFTER we resorted to a timeskip.

Personally, I vote we continue on from Return; it's a new chapter in the series, includes a sexy protagonist with vicious tendencies and a cockblock alter-ego who's about as disgusting as Mister Bean, and we effectively know next-to-nothing about the backstory now that all of Dedrin's friends are dead.

I figure if you change the THEME of the story (From World Dominatior to something like Traveling Demon Merchant or Runaway Stripper) with a few other viewpoint characters, get us caught up in the fiction of the world itself, it will catch on better. You show us a weird world, we'll get hooked watching it.

(Harbard’s Resolve is tested.... COURAGEOUS!)

Make it on this site? Dude that’s not the point of quests! The point is to make a story that’s all your own! To have it be something unique! Everyone has a story that deserves to be told. You don’t need to worry about “making it” because that’s not the point. If you are going at this with the intent to try and be famous or something let that be a by product of the real reason we make quests, to have fun!

You’re among friends here Clock, if you don’t think you will like take some solace in that fact that WE like it. I love Contact and I love Return, you are doing a fine job. Keep your chin up my friend. Take your time, Take a breath, and try again until you’re happy, and if you’re not sure, theres no harm in taking a a chance. I believe in you buddy!

Generally it is technically legal because few countries/states bother to make a law explicitly forbidding it. The local tribunal will however try to fit your case to other crimes, like these examples.

Yup. Also, I have a verbal contract with a friend that if he pays me 50 thousand dollars, I will have my left hand amputated for his (and my) consumption. Upon reading up on hand meat, it’s mainly cartilage, so not much food there. May have to do some additional research on autocannibalism.

Amon’s mouth fills with hot blood from his bite. It may not have been to fully cripple Acryporos, but just barely. It was certainly more damage than he had been expecting from him. Amon figure he would probably favor the right side since another shot to his left leg might finish the job.

The arcane edge slices into Acryporos's left hind leg! He yelps, but quickly regains his fortitude and is still able to stand on it.
"My turn! CRIMSON THREAD!" All at once thick ropes of muscle appear below Team Mindscape's feet, anchoring themselves deep within the soil, then to surrounding boulders about 20 meters away! The muscles then contract, flinging the boulders down onto Team Mindscape!
[Roll 4d20, anything below 5 is a hit for a boulder, dealing 50 damage]
