Rather than look for the big quests, I think it'd be better to find the quests that best match your interests:

1. How "Furry" should the quest be? Some people prefer quests with more human protags, some prefer funny animals, others don't care at all.

2. How NSFW should the quest be? There are many quests with varying degrees of adult content -- sometimes from the same author.

3. Do you have a genre preference? Weaver quests tend to do horror quite well, but the number of truly creepy quests are limited here.

Also you might find that the wiki is updated pretty regularly and there's quite a long list of quests.

I understand you and you're not wrong about finding quests that fit my interests, but because of my lack of experience, I wanna see more outside of the stuff I usually go for (as well as the stuff I usually go for if it applies). I wanna get a feel for the kind of stuff this board enjoys, so I'd really appreciate knowing what stories are the most renowned/popular. I'm not here specifically for furry quests. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love furry type characters and monster girls and stuff, and liking Weavers art and stories is what got me into quests to begin with, and Reaver draws HOT AND CUTE AS FUCK CHARACTERS, so I naturally gravitated towards what was similar like a degenerate, but I'm looking for fun/interesting stories first and foremost. That said, I also adore medieval fantasy, it is by far my favorite genre. As such, quests that are featured in this setting tend to already have numerous animalistic races already. I'll probably gravitate towards quests with furry/monstrous characters, but that is merely because I find them more visually appealing than humans, not because I am against human story. It's the story I care the most about here.

I'm completely open to everything regardless of its level of lewdness. Something like Mudyquest or Knight Blades featured many strong sexual themes as well as slightly more tabboo topics like incest, and I have no issue with any of it. Nothing is off limits when it comes to making a great story.

As I mentioned before, medieval fantasy is one of my favorite settings, and I love Lord of the Rings, Dungeons and Dragons, Cutebolds, Monsters, Berserk, and all that good stuff. That said, I've had very limited experience in quests, which is why I'm requesting suggestions for the most popular stuff with a good reputation. I'm open to all suggestions, but I do wanna see the big boys.

For recommendations wise, personally, anything by Slinko and Lagotrope are substantial on their own; character-driven adventures and lots of quests respectively.

For what it's worth, the wiki isn't really intended as a rating tool. There's only a few of us who work on it regularly, and we have enough to do keeping the objective things up to date without delving too deep into the morass of subjective judgment, bias, hurt feelings, outraged accusations of favoritism and the like.

The wiki is primarily a tool for looking up quests, helping you find all the threads (and some other stuff) associated with a given quest, finding other works by a given author, etc. And the wiki meets this goal pretty well- although newer threads might lag a few days before being documented. Providing useful information like summaries and character bios is a secondary goal (with far less success).

I noticed that "Major completed quests" page before, but to be honest, and again, I apologize for my ignorance, considering the fact that quests have been around for over a decade at this point, and while trying to sort through the quests here (unsuccessfully) I noticed that there are thousands of threads, ongoing, archived, and in the graveyard alive, I was led to believe that that webpage of major completed quests in particular must have not been updated in a very long time, considering how few quests are listed there relative to how many exist here, and for how long this site has been running. I am operating under the assumption that there are far more quests that have gained a very large influence like RubyQuest/Mudyquest did that are not listed on that page, and I wished to see as many as I could, without needing to individually sort through the thousands of options in a slow, one by one manner.

I didn't necessarily expect it to, and it is certainly a very useful resource for finding all the threads of a given quest, but I just wanted to make it clear that I did make an attempt to find an up-to-date list of some sort before coming here to ask for help.

Major Completed Quests doesn't get added to very often because of the aforementioned accusations of favoritism we'd have to deal with. That said, you can check the history of the Featured Article for a list of quests of interest (though its primary purpose is highlighting articles to fill out, the two goals often intersect).

LonelyWorld's "King of Pentacles" (https://tgchan.org/wiki/King_of_Pentacles) is currently ongoing and sounds like it might be relevant to you. LonelyWorld tends to focus on cute furries.

My own "Nem's Quest" (http://tgchan.org/kusaba/quest/res/589725.html) might also be of interest to you, mostly because many have described Nem as being extremely cute. Nem's Quest takes place in a fantasy realm which I have since fleshed out considerably, and is the base point for a lot of my other quests.

Toxoglossa's quests are chock full of cute furries as well, but they're not a medieval fantasy setting.

i second reading brom’s stuff, it all rules. great characterization, fun art style, cool worldbuilding and snappy plots. my favorites that i’d point you towards are static on the wire, the tyrant star, and bruco and strela are married. (enemy quest is his most popular, but i’m nowhere near caught up on that one so i’m suggesting the stuff i personally really enjoyed.)

It's ongoing (the latest thread having closed like within this month) and unlike Lagotrope's other quests (that cross over a lot, adding up to an impressive amount of material) this one is pretty self-contained.

Well, to start with, I note that a big name of old that you missed was Gnome, with the epic of Dorf Quest. Gnome has done a few other quests more recently, which I also generally recommend.

For the sake of completeness, it might also be good to point out the unified setting we had going back around 2009 with the Rastin-Vresch continuity.

Tellingly, in my recommendations of Brom Quests, I would recommend a bunch of DIFFERENT Brom Quests. They're all excellent. Oren and the Eivr-verse are interlinked quests that represent some of my favorites. Due to crossovers, and concurrent running threads, a reading order guide is probably recommended.

BiteQuest (the author) is an important figure, but his quests are not for the faint of heart.

Sketchy aka ChildOfAB is a FANTASTIC author and I cry that these stories are unfinished.

Sometimes very short quests do very much. Read Shambles. Read Plessy Quest.

I don't disagree with any of the other statements above either, though Smik is probably being too modest.
