And the semifinals are over! This time only 5 boys are moving on, due to a 4-way tie for the bottom 3 spots. Tgchan never changes. A few votes had to be discarded due to exceeding the 3-boy cap or being duplicates from the brief period before the poll allowed multiple choices, but thankfully they didn't significantly affect the rankings, which are:

First place with 12 votes- Villi! Apparently this boy and his collage just can't be beat, since compared to other polls he has a significant 2-vote lead on...
The four-way tie, with 10 votes apiece- Glitcher, Kappi, Pilon and Gallsby! Apparently no matter who wins the finals a Lago boy is going to win. To preempt any such suggestions, a non-Lago poll will never happen- look at what happened to ITQ post-BTE.

Aaaand the fix is in--I mean, the results are out! The finals for the tgchan cutest furry boy poll are over, and despite my joke the responses were unbiased- I should know, I checked all of them individually to make sure. And the results are...

In first place, the CUTEST FURRY BOY on tgchan, with 9 votes... Villi, the baker gote from Frillsby & Gallsby! I have authorial confirmation that a gote is a goat with larger, floppier ears- LawyerDog has finally rused himself into making a canonical species!

In second place, a close runner-up and likely to still be hotly debated, with 8 votes... Pilon, the sexiest neumono to be produced by AsteroidQuest! Hopefully he starts making canonical appearances again soon.

Also, maybe it would've been better to first select the top pick for each quest, rather than simply going by the total amount of votes. The reasoning being that, just because one quest is more popular than the other, it doesn't automatically mean its character is cuter than the other as well. Otherwise we're simply voting on the most popular quest and not the characters.

Also, because there's been some debate offsite and a little in the thread, I want to make clear what happened, how I feel about it, and how it's being handled. By now you may have noticed that Wretch consistently gets big votecounts and this time she has as much as the next two put together. The poll is being posted on Morbit Discord servers, where many TCP fans hang out. This is fine- I've posted the poll on IRC channels and Discord servers where I know people from tgchan hang out to try and ensure everyone is aware of it. People have also mentioned that they feel the TCP fanbase may not be aware of other tgchan quests. That's also fine- as mentioned earlier, the worth of an opinion does not depend on the number of quests read. It's certainly canvassing for votes, but this is an unofficial poll with no real stakes, so it's always been largely a popularity contest. I'm not bothered by the situation and I don't plan on playing gatekeeper for who can vote- the situation is just new to me since this is the second major tgchan-wide poll I've set up and I had to think about how it should be handled now and in the future. That said, if anyone not previously familiar with the characters or quests included thinks they look or sound cute I encourage you to give them a try, too! Alright! Once again I'm taking nominations, this time for the cutest tgchan furry nonbinary character. Rules for nominations remain the same- max 3 per quest per person, no maximum to how many quests a single person can draw from. There's been some uncertainty about which characters qualify for previous polls, so I'll try and clarify here.


Cute- completely up to you. That's what the poll is trying to figure out people's opinions of, in fact, so feel free to just go with whatever you want for this part.

tgchan- characters from tgchan only. Quests characters and some ITQ/BTE exclusive characters, so far.

Furry- Just confirming that we're not using the literal definition, here- it qualifies if it's not just 100% a vanilla human as far as design goes. I won't bother being more restrictive than that and I recommend that you don't worry about whether other people's choices are furry enough either, since a furry audience's votes are effective enough at ensuring winners are acceptably furry. Also I'm starting to feel semantic satiation for "furry".

Nonbinary- Briefly, characters whose sex/gender identities can't be fully described by male or female. Neuter, intersex, trans, genderqueer, and any other form of nonbinary characters are welcome- as long as the author of the character is alright with them being described as nonbinary. This one deals more deliberately with identities than the previous polls did by design, so it's possible that some people may mistakenly nominate characters due to having access to different information. I ask that if you see an error in someone's nomination you keep your charitable interpreter glasses on and assume that it was a well-meaning mistake rather than malice. Also, again, please respect author preferences in regard to their characters.

So in that regard it would raise the question of if characters who were, at a point, non-gendered would count. If prior participation doesn't disqualify, then, I'd suggest Rulekeeper from UnSe, because her first iteration was male and her main appearance has been mainly as a sheet ghost with a cute but relatively androgynous head poking out. Whenever she's appeared more physically female have pretty much been cases of deliberately making a body to better interact with Glitcher. Rulekeeper and Glitcher did sorta reproduce, but the way sex is assigned by zoologists (basically "who did the bigger gamete come from") would have made Glitcher the female, I think. Then Rulekeeper can be a sort of representative for the rest of the UnSe cast, who are all AIs who chose gender appearances solely as a matter of taste.

Along those lines I'll also suggest Muo from Work of Chaos/Story Seeker, who is a female-presenting member of a naturally genderfluid species. If we believe her.

There are a ton more characters I planned/wanted to nominate, but I ran out of steam and chances are I couldn't get them all done by the time the deadline was up. So, here are the ones I did manage! Coming up with poses is hard, but I recommend trying it to any other artists. They're fun!

Alright! And I'm back, with news and apologies for the villain poll dying and there not being a poll for this month. Problems with my college fucked me up for a bit but I'm finally actually confirmed for getting my degree so everything's gucci now and those issues will never have to crop up again. Now, the news: next month's poll will concern...

The Best Tgchan Chest, concurrent with Chest Day! Nominations will not be made in the usual way- instead, every chest posted in the Chest Day thread will be considered a nomination for the character(s) in it. The poll schedule will resume at the usual time- this poll will start August first. I apologize for only giving a week in advance notice, but I thought of this idea literally just now and Chest Day already has a decent backlog of images, so hopefully it won't be too bad.

Still, if more time turns out to be needed before the official poll start, let me know.

Also, quick aside- I plan on at least trying to give the villain poll a wrap-up post tomorrow morning, it's getting close to midnight at the time of writing.
