Hey there, folks.

So I'm a total newb around here. I was newly liked here to check out a quest which pleased me greatly. However, I finished that now and I'd like to check out a few others. I've had a look around, read Dungeon Game: The Quest for example, but I've always such a hard time choosing :S

Therefore, can you recommend any classics that I just *have* to check out? I'd be much obliged :)

Well, if you're after something sizable and done, pick any of:

Oh, right. I should have checked the wiki first, of course. Thank you :)

Well, that's a tiny subset of the biggest and most obvious. There's loads of running stuff that's good as well, like Tozol Quest, Halting State, The End, Cutebold Slaughter Fest, Island of Onigashima...

Welcome to the site, I hope you enjoy the experience.

Yeah, there's loads of stuff around. I'm currently reading RubyQuest, but I'll be sure to check out the running stuff as well :) Thanks for the tips.

Besides

there's Dive Quest, which is ongoing.

Other really great ones (but not utterly essential): Tiffany, Earth Defense Force, anything by Brom. Those tiny deer quests (by LonelyWorld) are pretty popular too but I can't tell you about them because I don't follow them.

So RubyQuest was epic, but I'm not entirely sure what I actually read. There's so much unresolved shit in that quest that in the end, I just decided to be content with what did happen and leave the rest way, way behind. Which really is a great thing for a horror story to achieve, isn't it? Damn that was good.

For YOUR sake, OP, don't read Golemquest, not until you'v got dsome of the classics under your belt.
It will be like a virgin having sex with the universe: everything feels empty and bland in comparison...

>everything feels cohesive and well-written in comparison...

Went right ahead and fixed that for you.

Journey and Bite Quest are both finished, won't require a week dedicated to reading ugly-formatted text to catch up on, have good art, AND are widely considered good. Those are probably the two best tgchan quests to read.

If Golem Quest posters weren't ripping on other quests, IE 'so bland and empty in comparison,' nothing would have been said. Don't even act like this isn't a response to a direct insult against every other quest on the site.

You'll note that nobody responded negatively to >>343374

Will you lot take it to the Big Dumb Arguments thread in /meep/, please?

Because any argument about GolemQuest from either side turns into exactly that.

Also, Sir Roger-Roger of Dodger, some pretty alright quests in my opinion that you should check out are anything by LonelyWorld (CrashQuest, Gnoll's Bane, Colony Guard, Pinkskin Quest), Tory's Tower, The Last Flight of the Sparrow, Tozol Quest, Venji Quest, and SueQuest to get yourself started.

How was my post insulting Golem Quest? I was just making a little joke about how Golem Quest is really, really big (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).
