Needs more hugs.

I like this quest but I need to get back into reading it consistently.

Two questions:

What spells does Marisa currently have?

And what program/tool do you use for coloring to get the semi-pixel effect?
>>

Might seem weird but is there any way I can contact you privately? Maybe you could get on the IRC or something and I could PM you.

I know you guys where are the hugs
when i posted this to tg i assumed that everything would be hugged

>>352636
If I can recall correctly it's various fire- water- electric- and now ice-based stuff
but the water spells can only be used near water and the ice can only be used with water
she also has the blinding spell and probably some other stuff that I'll make upIMEAN HAVE ALREADY PLANNED OUT if the suggestions say to consult the book

The way I draw updates has changed over time a bit
First I used Flash, but due to extenuating circumstances I now go to a website with a Paint BBS application, draw the update, screenshot it, and then paste it into Paint

>>352637
Uh I've tried getting on the IRC before but for whatever reason when I click on it I can't access it or something
or maybe I'm just stupid

Also could i trouble anyone for some feedback on Monitor
now that i look back at it I think I know why it just faded way without any suggestions
I never really had any direction with it and I just couldn't keep anyone's attention it seemed
>>
No. 42848 ID: b6edd6

I haven't read Monitor, but I find that people tend to quickly become apathetic to situations when they don't present imminent problems or other short-term things to react to.

...and that principle also applies to quest readership.

When it comes to the quest Monitor, it had an interesting draw insofar as we not actually taking direct control of the characters 'in the action' as it were but instead operated through an intercom and cameras and tried to influence people with only those controls. There's a video game like that. Perhaps you took some inspiration through it. However, as a quest it's awkward because we ALWAYS will want to know what's on all the cameras we have access to, and there's little way we can know what a camera will have until we check it, and having to wait for suggestions and updates to do such a thing is just awkward. Furthermore, and this is what finally drew me away from the quest, when you introduced the French-speaking character... Well I know a little bit of French but I didn't really want to put that much of an effort into deciphering the content of your quest in order to participate in a reasonable fashion. It was an ambitious endeavor and I believe you had plenty of reason why the character spoke that way, it was just rather 'too much work' for the audience (or at least for myself), and while that's not a great justification it's what i've got.

I'd just like to say that while you seemed to have a few problems earlier on with how Marisa handled suggestions her character now seems a lot more defined. In the start she came across as pretty erratic based on the suggestions at the time, but now she has more of her own personality. She's less 'cold schizophrenic', more 'cool as a cucumber'.

So reading even just the latest update to the quest I find that my syntax and diction is basically like the most awkward stuff ever. It's like I have multiple trains of thought during each paragraph but then they each derail one after the other and I'm left with a great big pileup of twisted metal and unrelated ideas put together in the same paragraph. A problem that I'm certain many people have but
could i get some feedback on this
is my writing all stiff and awkward
also

I know this is a month old but it still instills a great sense of [really good feeling] in me knowing that at least someone says that they like what ive created
i dont know

Rewrite it multiple times until things flow better. I haven't noticed much recently tho.

This chapter was interesting, though the scenario with the travelers and their grass creature felt a little aimless. I wasn't sure what we should be doing, since we couldn't really communicate very well about much of anything.

though it's fun to play mean as it's part of Marisa's character.

I personally find Garland adorable and hope bad things don't happen to her

Agreed. One of the pleasures of the quest is that Marisa has a very established personality and isn't just some blank slate completely reliant on the suggestions to fill in her personality. Also Garland is cute. Zephyr is nice too.

Sangsaloj is a really fun word.

I wasn't entirely sure what to do with this character until i read this
I do hope you realize you have just sealed this character's fate

>Do humans resent monkeys?

Garland is a freak but she has a tail,(a trait Marisa didn't mention as being unatural or disgusting)
Adrienne is not a freak, he also has a tail

so far Marisa's the only one without a tail

so I'd like to take a survey;
Question1: Why are you reading this quest?
Question2: Why are you not reading this quest?
>>
No. 50809 ID: a43a6c

>>360608
A few reasons.

1:Because you've got an interesting art style
2:Because Marisa has some awesome characterization
3:I like the somewhat gritty tone of the whole thing.

Artifact Quest is probably one of my most favorite quests ever.

Answer: 1. Enjoy the art style, I enjoy the characterization and thought. You quest seems worth my attention.

Answer: 2. I've been having less and less time for anything I enjoy all semester, even my own quest is all but on hiatus, for foreseeably the next month, possibly two until I graduate.

In short, your quest should be well worth my time and effort, but both are currently in pitiably short supply on my side. Still if I see you malingering near the bottom or second page if I should bass by between now and then, I'll try and give you a helpful bump at least.

Finally took the time and read this quest. And now i feel foolish for not doing it earlier.

Loving the art and the feel of the world. And most of all loving the irritable and prejudice main character.

i will be posting here information that the character of Marisa knows about the fictional world in which she resides, as it becomes relevant.

The Bloodlust are a group of tribes that the Chatzen Monarchy has yet to annex because Berserkers (Berserker having come to be the common term used to denote a member of the Bloodlust tribe) are fiercely independent and very quick to violence when their autonomy is placed in jeopardy. Berserkers, as they are commonly characterized by many Chatzen who have not met any but heard much about them, are a warrior people who live like the tribes of the Time of Tribes did before they were united by Unifie. Berserkers also have a spiritual obsession blood (their own and that of those they fight), and each has the ability to work him or herself into a raging bloodlust. They also have the barbarous practices of giving themselves long, snaking ceremonial scars and consuming blood (their own and that of those they fight). The Bloodlust inhabit lands that Chatze does not especially desire, and Berserkers would not very easily integrate into general Chatzen society anyway, so the Bloodlust are left well enough alone. Though it would be completely righteous to scorch their lands and put them all to death for being filthy sangsaloji mongrels. Ash and snow, mixing freely? The result, a grotesque perversion of the feline race. The act, a perversion of freedom.

Ah, so they're half-breeds, and hated for it, if I have it right.
I'm curious where you'll go with this setting, and as of right now, I must ask- is Runecrafting the ONLY source of magic one can wield, or are there other methods?
