I really like the look of the better drawn art for this quest. I dont mind the quality shifts so far as long as we get the good stuff every so often, like to see new important characters or scenes maybie. And the characters, outfits and general concepts are really cool so far.

As for questions. Is all the art yours or are you collabing? The quality shift is pretty big and I can't tell if that means a different person or just a big difference in effort/time spent.

could you give us a quick rundown of the other races and what they look like if that isn't spoiling anything? Just asking because our MC is acting like we should know something about the other races.

Yeah, the better drawn art is better.

The first post is of Archive's work, but he had to otherwise contend with life and I'm left high and dry.

The second piece is by me and a friend(who does not wish to be named).

The rest is by me. It's been five years since I last drew or did anything at all involving art. So I am using MSpaint in attempt to art.

While it seems like you should, asking questions about the races is the best solution. Answers will be given from their knowledge and perspective, as well as smallish history lessons to tie you along.

I want this quest to be about exploration and intrigue, not so much about art.

NAV = Tiny Birds
Grey's = Barbarians
Shadows = Bugs
Humans = Holy/Unholy isolationists

That's all I can give without really spoiling anything about the story.

Please for the love of god find anything better than MS Paint, even if you're mouse drawing or don't consider yourself much of an artist. When you learn the benefit of layers (such as drawing the background on one and moving your characters around on top of it, for one minor example) you will never ever look back.

There's a lot of free options. Krita, the GIMP, and if you're willing to take your life into your hands you can find Paint Tool SAI for free and probably not entirely legal.

Really though Krita is probably worth a least a little look, some of the brush patterns it offers are amazing time savers.

Shit I forgot to mention Paint.NET. It's like Paint except it lets you use layers. It's too much like MS Paint for my liking in its simplicity but it's nice and lightweight and also totally free.
