Is this the right place to post this?
I've read most of the quests on the Major Completed Quests list, but I know that's not all this website has to offer in terms of substantive reading. Please suggest some quests that could be considered worthwhile but that aren't either "major" or "completed". If it has updated within the last few months I've probably already read it though.

Acid soup and Loretta quest were both pretty amazing.

check out other works of authors who got into "major completed" list.

Enemy Quest is great.
Static on the Wire is great, too.
The Book of Worms was some damn good work.
Journey Quest is a classic.
The Island of Onigashima is getting amazing.
Tezakia Quest and its spinoffs are hilarious.
KnifeQuest is both awesome and adorable.

This is the best advice. Dig through the wiki of authors who's quest you've liked, they probably have more. Especially Brom. Read Brom's quests.

I loved demon's rage, check that one out. It has been abandoned though.

I'm not all that picky, but I don't particularly enjoy excessively technical quests.

On dead quests that are still worth a read, Oblitus and Earth Defense Force jump immediately to mind. One's about an elder god and the other's about inheriting super-villainy.

They'll come back someday, r-right?

Gnome moved on, man. To the greener and more profitable (also greener) pastures of RPG publishing. I highly doubt he's coming back.

So I read Tentacle Man and Mushroom Girl's Magical Vore Adventure and it was pretty great, basically exactly the kind of thing I've been looking for. If y'all've got any more of those good-but-dead quests I'd love to see 'em.

He could still come back, technically, right? He wouldn't just abandon us... right? ;_;

He briefly showed up again to run a completely different quest under a diff name, eventually he admitted to it in IRC, then vanished again.

This is like the third time he's done exactly that.
