It's quiet now.

We began our flight many moments and many sheets ago.

Now we are here, far from the path of that gargantuan image.

Frankly I am surprised the Erasers have not set upon him yet.

What should I do?

Hmm, yes...another yellow pixel may prove useful.

I lunge at him, my own yellow pixels propelling me at a speed far greater than he could infer from my size.

My target quickly shifts out of the way of my strike, using pixels and physics alike to evade me.

No matter, he only delays the inevitable.

We really need to gain some specials and/or increase resolution. Is there any way to go about that aside from the stupidly slow acquisition of ever more pixels, a little at a time, and pumping all the bonuses we get into them?

If not, motion to hunt down pixels until we get the next bonus, increase the resolution of another pixel type, then jettison everything we have that it's Level 2 so that we can level up overall. We can reclaim what we ditched later, or give some of it to our friend there, or something.

Motion to use our light gray pixel to increase our overall resolution, then. There's no way in hell that we'll be able to do it a bit at a time through size increases.

And idea for a special: Sacrifice black pixel(s), all adjacent pixels randomly change their color to something else. Ignores ownership, so if they're touching an enemy they'll get their colors changed, if we're not then only our own will.

Might not be feasible, but it strikes me as a fun idea.

If we can use light grays to increase resolution, then we should change three pixels to light gray, and increase the resolution of three different pixel types. Or ourself overall, if they can do that. Spending the upgrade on one pixel color resolution increase is inefficient.

This is the best I've got; an entire reaper proved difficult, but a scythe was rather feasible. It looks a lot better if you don't have the outlines on the white pixels. The bottom is meant to be some sort of shadow at the base, but at this resolution it's not terribly good-looking.

Also, this is terrible as far as presenting the correct pixels for combat purposes. Since we have no specials whatsoever for it to boost at the moment, there is no point in adopting this shape.

We really need to get better resolution.

"And that you should, however I am no longer the one to fear, not for the moment anyway. The Dragon is the one to be worried about."

As I speak, I note the new arrival to have completed his arrival. His focus quickly moves between us before seeming to fold in on itself.

"Ehh, not a totally useless board",He begins, "They could make good cannon fodder, that one over there could probably put up a fight... not for long though"

...irritating

I begin moving towards the images collected in the top right, noting that I move more quickly than my size should allow thanks to my image.

Hmm, yes, increased speed is only one of the benefits of staying in an image.
The others I can recall are:

Stronger Aura (for those that have one): The aura increases durability and cohesion of all images by a small amount. It also accelerates pixel generation and reparation.

Increased Cohesion: Staying in image form helps to keep your image together (less likely to fragment due to being hit or lose pixels due to speed)

There may be others that slip me at the moment... but I'm sure they will become evident as I continue.

What should I do concerning this new arrival?

"First things first, twenty pixels is far too low a reward for facing a boss, I demand fifty"

Number 5 pales.
"I am afraid this is a problem. I can give you twenty pixels of your choice immediately and another fifty upon completion, but If you wish to receive more immediately, you must speak to my master."

Huh, that sure is a lot of red down there.

Anyway, from the sound of it, this legos character isn't gonna be a threat to you later on. No harm in helping him if you get a net gain out of the deal. And the offer of ANY pixel variety is pretty nice. You need a source of some light greys at least, and your supply of blues is looking sad now.

Besides, if all you have to do is distract the enemy, you can do a fair job of that without even fighting. One nice thing about having a reputation.

you want:

2 blues to match the others at the end of your stick.
enough reds to make your scythe blade out of level 2 reds. That means a final total of 12 lv 2 reds, but see previous question about pixels of different level.

Can we voluntarily jettison pixels? If so, can we jettison everything that's not level 2, get our pay so that we have those pixels at level 2 since we'll be an overall level 2 creature at that point, and then reclaim everything?

Because working our way up to the many thousands of pixels that would be required to level everything up to level 2 one at a time... would be ridiculous. We'd be larger than a screen before we had a truly upgraded resolution.

"Hrm. Ok then. Provide me with colours I do not yet have. I could use a few oranges or purples or-"

"Please sir, I have offered you all I can give, please take this seriously" Number 5 interrupts, sounding hurt.

"I am death personified. I am always serious."

Number 5 pauses for a few moments, his focus indecipherable.
"...As you know sir, I cannot offer you those colours because they are not available at this resolution unless one were to descend while bearing them or encounter the shopkeeper. If you are serious about acquiring only what you are currently lacking in terms of variety, I could only offer you Light Grey pixels."

Hrm, it seems I lacking more than I expected.
The trials of an amnesiac.

"Well seeing as you have not had the good fortune of encountering the shopkeeper, I will limit my selection to the mundane, though this makes the offer less attractive"

"Thank you for your patience"

"Yes...make that 4 blues, 4 Light greys and 10 reds"

"Excellent, one moment please"
His aura grows even further as he sacrifices a reagent.
Snaking tendrils of energy jump between us, growing in strength and frequency until multiple unbroken energy threads link us.

His aura flares and the sheet wall buckles under its pressure, energy shooting off to some point in the distance.

"Request sent... please hold"

My own aura flares and pixels begin to form as if out of thin air.
In mere moments, my cocktail of pixles floats before me, ensnared in our joint auras.

"Approved. Now if you would kindly assimilate your wage, our deal may be sealed"

The pixles strain against their leashes of energy, moving towards different areas on my image.

Do I have any special configuration for my new pixles?
Should I let them go where they desire?
