he is George... he is very unremarkable and that makes him sad
in the world of unremarkable people George has decided to set out to become remarkable.
armed with nothing but his grandmothers rusty old sword and his average wits George seeks to pass into distinctiveness
in the distance there is a horrible mean, menacing, modly catle.
it all begins here, what does george do?

Next to the tapestry George can see a giant stone statue of a man who appears to be very remarkable. At least remarkable enough to get a statue of himself erected in the foyer of this mansion. In the statues hand George can see a can of something. There's some writing on the pedestal that reads: "Fortune Favours the bold!". It seems the statue is looking very bold indeed

George quickly rushes over to the fountain and starts to take a sip from it. After drinking the fountain water aside from feeling a bit refreshed George feels a little bit different.

Check the darker square area in the back of the closet, also read the inscription off the fountain. Continue ignoring the large chest in the middle of the room, we are not yet remarkable enough for something so up front and attention grabbing.

George looks around the side of the fountain to where the inscription is and reads it. The inscription reads "fountain of uselessness"

Adventure we go! George twists the door handle, the back of the cupboard swings open revealing another room. Inside the room is a barrel and a Large box with a padlock on it. There are 3 doors, one to the right, one straight ahead and one to the left. The door on the left has a bar across it.

George then goes through the right door and into another room. In the room there is a empty cylinder which seems to be connected to a weighted cube via pulleys. There is also a square box with a slot on the top. To the right of George (at the bottom for us) there is a door.
>>

So we'll definitely need something heavy to dump into the cylinder to lift that cube later. I wonder what goes into the slotted box, investigate it further.

Turning back and into the only door that George hasn't checked out George opens it and walks inside. The room seems to be a kitchen complete with a stove. there is a tap at the back next to a cupboard that has also been used as a copping board. Above it is another set of cupboards. There are two doors in this room. one to the left and one to the right.

George opens the cupboards to reveal... stuff. there seems to be lots of plates and bowls though. on the lower cupboards there's two boxes one labelled food and the other one it blank. in the upper cupboards there's more plates and bowls, seaslug, some utensils and a very small key.

should probably add the any X on the entrances means we haven't checked them. the two mismatched things in the front of the castle are windows the reason why one looks like 4 lines on the building is because it had bars on it (don't question my logic). i tried to add anything of interest, probably forgot some things, sorry if i did.

Picking up the slug and putting down Jeremy, George takes the slug to the extraction fan and begins to put it into the said extraction fan. Suddenly a loud squelch is heard. Apparently the extractor fan was still on, now there's bits of slug everywhere! George stands there in shock. That's going to be very hard to wash off!
Through the left door you say?
sorry for not doing the second bit to your post suggestion buut i felt that just doing the slug would serve for a better impact >:D

Brilliant! A fake suicide note, the slugs friends and family would never suspect a thing! But in order for George to create the note he'd need some sort of paper and a pen.
Where would George find those things?
>>628458
Gathering up Jeremy, George open the left door. Through the door is a very long corridor with 2 doors; one in the middle and one on the right, there's also a rug with the words RUG on it very clearly albeit at a weird angle. the door in the middle has what seems to be a padlock on it.

Rolling up the rug as best he can, George examines under the rug, excited at the thought of a hidden trap door. George lifts up the rug revealing a sea slug and a few unremarkable coins. Well it looks like George's hopes of finding a trap door are dashed.
>>629230
Looking at the padlock George can see that it's very thick and is holding the door it's attached to locked. Upon closer inspection it seems a little rusted but not significantly. It must need a key of some sort to open. Where could we find something like that?
