INNATE ABILITIES, WIERDNESS & MUTATIONS

You have talons in place of feet.

SAVING...

The kenku are an ancient and feared race of bird-people with a legendary propensity for violence. Basically humanoid with bird-like heads and clawed feet, the kenku can wear all types of armour except helmets and boots. Despite their lack of wings, powerful kenku can fly and very powerful members of this race can stay in the air for as long as they wish to do so.

They are experts at all forms of fighting, including the magical arts of combat (conjurations, summonings and, to a lesser extent, necromancy). They are good at air and fire elemental magic, but poor at ice and earth magic. Kenku do not appreciate any form of servitude, and so are poor at using invocations. Their light avian bodies cannot sustain a great deal of injury...

FILE SAVED.

(Likely cannot do any more tonight. Was fun even just making the character. Hopefully I'll be able to continue and we can get started exploring the dungeon!)

I'll agree that reading it now could be pretty bad, but waiting until we find a scroll shop could be pretty tiresome as well. It's always been my strategy to test scrolls in the early levels when I finish a floor. That really only backfires when you get stuck with a cursed item that really screws you. So long as you did it with no weapon equipped, what's the worst that could happen? Curse the robe? Eh, that sucks, but it's not awful.

Don't test potions this way, of course. A poison potion would kill this poor bastard off right quick. Same with jewelry, some ugly stuff out there.

NAB THAT BREAD, KENKU BOY / GAL.

The darts are probably from a wild-firing dart trap, I wouldn't approach them unless you feel confident in trap-disarming skills.

Already done. You do some (accidental) auto exploring and almost immediately find a rat. Asleep.

Incidentally, the bolts are just lying there, and considering there's well over thirty in the stack, if that was a trap, it'd be well spent by now.

Boring bland vegetables aside, we found some more things! More goblins and our first dagger!

Just because one of them is holding the dagger doesn't make it any less ours.

Well, that was easy enough~

Despite being unexplored, the one to the right seemed a bit more secure, they wouldn't be able to flank around.

Could you start listing your current HP with each update? Particularly before and after a battle. No idea if you're still at 10, or have taken damage, or are at full steam right now.
