Right AND wrong, actually. Perspective is a wonderful thing, Player.

For example, right now, we can see that a wooden plank is being held up in front of Charlotte, shielding her from what could've been a fatal blow.

What can affect you, can be affected by you. She's bullshitting worse than you were, and trying to distract you from an incoming axebee-demon from behind. You CAN get at her this way, but so might they. You have manifested a blue-version of yourself where she is. Probably due to standing by the crystal that's keeping her own blue version here...You can't see that you are, but WE can!

Several options: Cut the straps to the gems keeping Charlotte here, and you in their lair. Get into close melee with Charlotte, making attacking you a bad idea. Try to maneuver behind her, and out of the 'reach' of the crystal'. Don't forget you're standing on a pissed off spider mother, too.

Hurry now, that axebee is coming and Charlotte isn't without bite abilities either.
>>

Stabbing this thing might be a bad idea, especially if it can just roll over and crush us. Cutting those gems off while you have the chance seems the best course of action.

I see, It's like a projector field that works both ways, that axe fellow behind you could be a danger.

However this does mean that her "shield" has an edge and you can probably roll under it or manipulate it (being a mere board and all.)

Above all you must be wary of the axe blow to be coming from behind you, and the giant ass spider you are currently ridding.
>>

I suggest using the board as an anchor point to pull yourself forward and up for a nice kick to the face of Charlotte.
>>
No. 110791 ID: fd430c

the demon with the board isnt that strong. simply roll under your sword and hit the glasschild's stomach, use the chains to keep yourself BEHIND the glass child until we get a idea of how many occupiers there are in the other room with your glass self.
>>
No. 110918 ID: 445c48

Did you see that scene too? If not, perhaps we can astound her with our orb-sight.

There's a guy coming up with an axe behind "you", that is your blue image where she is. We're not exactly sure if that can hurt you, but dodge out of the way anyways. Claim you're amazed she needed a demon with a board to stop your sword, and also that she'd look better without that blindfold and other crazy garb. Also say something about the white mouseguy up top and the clearly racist demon.

Ax Bee: "I'm coming, dammit! Hold'im still!"

Congratulations, you're now vaguely heroic. And also soon to be dead, unless you get the eff out of there to somewhere with smaller dimensions. Move yon legs, Player.

Charlotte's lights might not last forever now either.

Additionally, Charlotte was definitely a spider-thing. Some misreporting there, due to view angle.

Additionally...I wonder. Was Charlotte truly needed to guide her mother, and if so, what's going to happen now?

>Run towards halberd.

Halberd is in his inventory.

>Out of ADP.

...I wonder if ADP means Anti-Demon Points, or somesuch. Hmm. Or perhaps I'm going at it completely wrong. Any suggestions, fellow voices? SOMETHING was used in this fight, for sure. ADventurer Points? Oh, this is going to bug me forever.

Not sure downing random potions is a great idea, mate, but I'm guessing this advice is born of desperation anyway. Nick the potion, Player, we can decide whether to drink it in a second.
Oi, also, light up a torch or two. The spider might be afraid of fire, so we could possibly throw a torch at it, and we can also try burning the webs.

Well, this is it. Mother is pissed, and you've got nowhere to go. Get your halberd. It can double as a staff to lean on, and this might be your last chance to account for yourself. Stick it in her face, if you can. Those eyes were pretty vulnerable.

I suggest trying to find something to cut the web off with. Maybe if you can get past Mother Spider and retrieve your sword, you can use that. If not, try scraping it on the ground or wall or something.

If not, what about the red demon's weapon? It was holding something that looked like what we would call a 'shotgun'.
>>

Or maybe you could relight the torch and burn off the webs.

>Go into laughing hysterics.

No, don't do that.

>Stahlvern's weapon.

I think it was a crossbow and that it went poof along with the body of Stahlvern.

>Straps, the plan.

Well, attacking the straps and removing the gems could prevent another demon from doing the same trick Charlotte was doing and rejoining the fray, but I was more thinking of you sending the gems flying free when Charlotte was 'active' on that thing. Not just doing it in the hope that it might have a random benefit. Which it might, mind you.

Still, you could also just try to kill the mother.

One-handed halberd techniques? Not as such...But you DID use it one-handed overhead when you killed Stahlvern.

Another option is to use your body's momentum, and swing it around in circles, but that's rather predictable and could be easy to block...Or you could lose the grip on your only weapon. Plus, it'll make you dizzy after a few turns.

Lastly, there's always breaking the handle in twain and making an axe out of it.
>>
No. 113059 ID: 8ecfd4

>>113053
It's not so much about hysterics as it's about giving the impression of a crazy berserker.

But breaking the haft could probably be a good idea if you can do it. Otherwise I still think you could use your webbed arm for support.

The fire didn't burn right? You should try to ger around her so you can attack from behind and the sides. She probably won't give you a free shot again at her face, but if you can mess up enough joints on her legs she should be crippled enough to let you get at her.

>Not easy to break.

Point. If you can use it as-is, well...Do that.

Hrm. A faint possibility. That slope. Any chance of tossing something small and hefty (metal relic) to dislodge one of the rocks there? If you let her move a bit forward she'd be well positioned to be distracted or brained by a tumbling rock. Or the impression of it, such as you tossing something up and yelling the equivalent of "Have some rockfall!", and then taking advantage of the attention slip to stab her in the face.

My general advice is, don't get pinned down or webbed into immobility. Those 'arms' can also be extended pretty far and can work semi-independently of one another. Think of it as fighting more than one opponent at a time. Ones with a big reach. She'll only need three-to-six of those legs to keep balance for most of the time.

This is assuming "large spider" physics aren't that different from the small ones'...which could be possible. Well, good luck anyway.

Joint strikes are an idea, but he can't chop at 'em, making them a bit harder to disable. He can manage thrusts or stabs, which makes her eyes the obvious place to go after. Thing is, he has to maneuver past at least two carapace'd legs to get at 'em. And ol' mum's probably able to play ping-pong with him if he tries.

.... I better be quick.

They'll probably try and come back.

I suggest finding a way to get the web off and leaving.

Any objections?

I would say that's enough weird shit for one day. Let's gather up our loot and get out of here before more odd shit shows up.

...Nice job! I'm sure you had no idea what you were doing, but being able to win in spite of that troublesome condition is an essessional and treasured skill in adventurers. Glad to see you have it.

...

Anyway, let's loot those demon corpses of as much as we can carry and get the hell out of dodge before some other nasty shows up, shall we?

Perhaps you activated an insta-return feature of some kind. It does seem she was sphagetti-sucked back the wormhole way she came from. Much like that other guy, now that I think about it.

Check the slaves. See if they're really dead, and if they ain't, continue doing that uncoupling thing, and check if you can wake them up. Mayhaps even try to waste a cure potion on it.

You need to go make sure the guards are away. And try to gather back your inventory, the sword and the chain. As well as clear away the webs. Torch fire will probably work. The torch by the slaves was extinguished by the "blood gush" so you may be able to re-light it if you don't want to waste a torch.

Idunno. You're the ones in that pocket, you tell me.
And seriously, stop calling it an inventory. It makes me feel like I have a general store in my backpocket.

Nothing of value... I prettymuch destroyed the rope when trying to get them free earlier.

Well then get her to drink the potion. That way you can get her to carry more junk out of the dungeon.

That and you can ask her just what the fuck is going on. But for now lets get her up and running and get back to town. I think your bruised and battered body would really appreciate a hot meal, a hot bath and a decent bed soon.

it would be best to question her loyalty before that.

cant you find a way to wake her up? a little of water maybe?

She isn' swallowing, so she's coming with me. Father said the acolyte can treat wounded people, I hope he can care for demons. I hope some good comes from this.

>her loyalty
... I'll tie her up.

I'll get my sword as soon as I pass by it. It's probably the other side of the room. And then we'll see if spider silk is flammable.

Am I forgetting anything, besides the guard?

Pick up the chain as well as the strange metal object on that you climbed up and spotted while going in. And bring the weird box with you as well.

No I didn't forget. But you should be able to find ways to tie it to your body with the chain or store it in your codpiece or just carry the damn stuff in your hands. Show a little bit of imagination, it's like you never tried to loot a dungeon before.

nononono you dont get. i think she was somehow resized back to fit the original container where it was.

Well, he's got us there.

>5Copper's pokeman theory.

Not web, and definitely not pokemon. It was a teleport thing, I think. If you check the return method of Stahlvern's body and the demon mage, you'll see that it was similar, only smaller in scale.

>New achievement, same ol' sidequest, interesting tip.

Puzzles, hmm? That's interesting.
