Quest will contain violence and possibly nudity

This quest is themed as schlock slasher film featuring OWO characters.
as a movie no character deaths will be permanent nor effect other OWO projects

All suggestions should have 2 parts
1)name characters and what they should do (E.G. Trisha should go to the vending machine for a Soda)
2)Name some event that happens (E.G. thunder strikes and she drops her change in a drain)

Quest objectives:
Brett wants to be a spirit of vengeance
Trisha wants their sponsor "Chickadee Red Soda" to get their money's worth

Why would they execute you now when they could do it live for the ratings or whatever? They don't need an excuse, its not like the audience is going to know if they're lying.

I guess just keep the pick under you until you free your head.

Derringer stock? Lockpick? This feels like the sort of thing we shouldn't convert into something else immediately. The potential is worth more than a toothpick launcher at the moment.

The new guys could be useful. If they're really that talented, then if we can spring them, they might be a big enough distraction to cover whatever we're doing. The downside is that they might be loose enough canons that we get caught in the crossfire. Communication is gonna be limited, but scoping out exactly what their talents are and how dangerous they would be to us should be a high priority.

>>1094056
What's that in the lower-left corner? It looks kind of irregular, not intended, especially with the discoloration. Does it go somewhere, is it a pipe, or just a random, unintended hole from a stray gunshot or something? Did someone punch it and leave blood around the jagged edges?

No matter what, continue to make getting unstuck your primary focus. The chances of you getting killed for "resisting" shoot way up if you're still stuck in place when your turn at trial comes around. And if you do actually decide to resist, this is an extremely disadvantaged position from which to do so.

In the meantime...

"So, Barbara; I know one half of why you're here - you were found guilty of something death penalty-worthy regardless of whether you actually did it. But if this trend of 'special talents' continues... what special ability have you supposedly got that made the authorities extra scared of you?"

Come to think of it... this whole production seems wildly unprofessional for the purpose it's supposedly serving. There's duct tape holding down the intercom button. The way the 'contestants' have arrived is inconsistent in several ways. There are robot guards, but they're wielding wooden spears - and they aren't even in particularly good shape.

Actually... try asking everyone where they're from, come to think of it; specifically, where they were arrested and sentenced. Compare stories in full (assuming the new guys can take their tape off now that they aren't being watched), making no assumptions about details like that. I'm still of the theory that this whole show isn't legitimate, at least beyond a certain point. A front for some criminal group underbid for the right to handle the "disposal" of death-row inmates from various places - that only some inmates had to sign paperwork could suggest they're from different places with different laws and procedures pertaining to prisoners' rights. The goal, of course, is to recruit different criminals with supernatural abilities and help them 'disappear' off the living record to become everymen with no history and thus theoreticall

I had a — let's go with “nightmare” — one night. Very rarely do I have nightmares — almost less than twice a month, and pleasant dreams even less so — but eventually I did have one. It was not like my other nightmare I typically witness. This one was not gory, nor frightening, but impactful nonetheless. So now, I’ll make like Tobias Radiation Fox and make a game based on a dream.

There is basically no lore to this world further than when you see the fish. That was the moment I woke up. Enjoy, I guess.

You begin explaining your past with the village you once lived in. It doesn’t remotely answer their question, but context is important you guess, and it is really more for yourself than anything. The memory needs some breathing room, especially the memory of your hometown. You don’t want to lose it now you fear you may never see it again.

“I live in this big beachside town in the Upways. Not literally big, but dense, full of tons of people. It only barely stretches from the shoreline to the edge of a forest of needlewoods. It is full of the most kind and compassionate people you would ever meet. We do a whole lot of fishing and exporting ocean stuff. Though I guess the Highest Class doesn’t particularly like us for some reason? We don’t export stuff to them.” You felt like you could have scoffed as you said that last part — if you had a body to do so — but your smirk got quickly replaced with the tone shift in what you said next. “That’s what– was my home town.

“It happened so slowly; there were signs of something, but… We were just catching fewer and fewer fish, and what we could snatch was too diseased for consumption. Then suddenly, it all stopped. The population returned completely, like whatever had been plaguing the water had been taken out. It should have seemed foreboding. It was just a few cycles later while I’d been taking a casual hike through the forest out of town, but when I returned…”

It is difficult to say the next part, but you swallow the lump in your throat and go through with the horrific thought. “There was fire everywhere. Those bright flashing colors were everywhere. Eating away at every building, billowing massive towers of vibrant light completely blanketing my vision. But I had to go back there. I had to know how this had happened. I had to find my mom.”

“I did find her; just ran to where I guessed she might be, then followed her voice to a fishery on the docks. There were a lot more boats there than usual. Larger and with designs I didn’t recognize. But then I stopped; froze in my tracks when I saw– something. It was– well I couldn’t see it too well, only its silhouette cast by the fire behind it. Or maybe it was itself as pitch black as shadow. It was a massive beast; crawling on six stout flatfooted limbs, yet it left a hole triple my height in the wall I saw it through. Its body was a gargantuan bulk of flesh while its head was only a slender boney skull. I saw it tower over my mother who was lying on the floor injured and crying. It was disheartening to see her like that. I only saw her call my name, her voice too quiet to hear. I called out to her in response, but then the beast switched its attention to me.

“It turned toward me. It had no face, only glowing white pinpricks from the hollow sockets of an expressionless skull. Its lower jaw was split like the mandibles of an insect, holding its rows of teeth reminiscent of kitchen knives. A large hole was located on the peak of its head. It stared at me. A growl of sorts emanated from it, low in pitch yet shrill. It opened its mouth. Its hollow maw filled with the same fire that surrounded it, and it produced more from within its gape.

“I stood at the edge of the docks with the ocean to my back. I couldn’t move, I was stuck in place. All I could do was stare back at the beast as the fire in its jaws grew and g

While that may not have exactly answered its question, that seems to have satisfied it in a way. “Woah,” the child-like voice hushedly exclaims. For a brief moment the silence of death returns. The truth is you don’t actually know exactly how you died. One moment you stood frozen staring at death’s skinless halow face, then an explosion of colors to your front, the splash of freezing water to your back, and now you are here being interviewed on your life.

The voice asks again, still curious. “But that’s not everything, is it?” It holds the intonation of already knowing. Like it only asks not to know more, but to see how you describe it. Though that child-like voice it carries is still laced with innocence. “What about the people in your life? I wanna know about them too. You must miss them, don’t you?”

A. Who is your mother?
B. Who are your friends and neighbors?
C. Who were you; what did you do as a job or pastime?

And please, you may have a lot to say, but it is best to be brief and concise. Leave room for interpretation by me, or for extrapolation by others. Now, Topics written in blue are mandatory to answer. You specifically don’t need to answer them all, but you collectively have to. Mandatory has nothing to do with priority, but just because your response has no immediate effect does not mean it was completely cast aside. Remember: you have just as much of an influence on worldbuilding and lore as I do.

-“Why hello yourself, bloody nightmare dog,” the old man replies with blushed cheeks, likely due to a jolly disposition and not anger or blood rushing downwards.

Luckily these fellows dug me and Miss Pitching over there out before we ran out of air. If they weren’t going to eat us, I’d say they are being a terrific rescue service.”

-“See, I’m not rightly sure. I’ve only been here for an hour or two, and between everyone else screaming themselves hoarse to be let go and trying to lift my torso to avoid fainting, I haven’t been able to come with a plan.”

Despite some of you being complete strangers, you've all been seated together at a restaurant in Nexus, due to the law against dining alone after sundown. Some guy tried to sell you a memory crystal containing a treasure map.
A pretty lady at another table (who turned out to be dragon-blooded) bought him a drink (which turned out to contain yozi venom) and then, while he was dying, grabbed the crystal and ran off. Might want to be out of town before her employer realizes that one of you actually managed to boot it up first, and got a pretty good look at the map.
Site's over a thousand miles away, but most of that would be river travel, and there's an underground manse, so it should be easy enough to zero in on with geomantic surveying tools even if the map, or your memory or navigational skills, end up a few miles off-target.
If somebody's willing to pay for yozi venom (which is not cheap!) to cover it up, gotta be something seriously valuable out there.

Destination is ~800 mi southeast of Nexus as the crow flies, and half that far north-northeast of the ruins of Denandsor, right in the middle of rocky uplands between the headwaters of the Rolling River and a minor tributary of the Grey River.
So, you could take a more direct route up the Grey, but then face a longer trek overland,
or start by going up the Yellow past Great Forks and then turn south along the Rolling.
Or try something more complicated, to take advantage of esoteric travel options and/or throw off potential pursuit.

The fissure continues horizontally some 150', through about forty feet of wall and then diagonally across the floor of a pillared hall roughly twice the size of the one Kisara and Caitlyn are currently in. Below the fissure's entire length, there's a cave, seemingly separate from - but comparable in size to - the one under the hole Cold and Woe went down. Both areas are basically pitch black, so effective mapping would require a light source... or, possibly, a calligraphy brush Kisara can wield in bat form, to take notes as part of an echolocation-based survey.

Traversing the fissure to reach that larger hall might be relatively straightforward, by professional rock-climber standards - just gotta go single file, pressure-walking against opposite walls - but if part of it turns out to still be unstable, who knows how much rock could suddenly be coming down on your head. There's almost certainly another way around, longer but safer.

She pondered what that shadow mass might be and questioned if she should have struck it down or not - it seemed to know where it was going and that concerned her. "Does anyone know what that shadow was?"

You know those 5g cell phone transmitters. Ride around in a pickup truck with sledgehammers, maybe five six guys. Bring a ladder and rope.

Once all those are down maybe something a little bigger to take down the cell phone towers themselves.

In the Age Of Man, Y-O-A 304, humanity at large mastered the skies, and the world beyond. With the finest magical minds of the generation, we conquered the Void. By wrapping a vessel - a Shell - in magic and steel we were able to catapult out of a Chamber to distant worlds, and with proper preparation retrieve the Shells back to their Chambers with teleportation magic. While the costs were extreme, the resources and knowledge retrieved from such missions was incalculably valuable. Entire new worlds sat at our feet, untouched by the Spell Withering, and the Mana there was plentiful and fresh.

We entered the Void Age.

A spore lands on [SOMETHING], which rests on [SOMETHING]. [SOMETHING] grows nearby. Your senses are limited. Your knowledge is limited. However, you have some control over yourself - with some effort, you could roll off of [SOMETHING] and onto the [SOMETHING] it rests on, or the [SOMETHING] that is growing here. You feel that your choice, at this point, will more or less determine what sort of thing you will, eventually, become.

Potential pulses within your spore capsule, waiting to be realized.

You are not a normal mushroom.

You find a stone and wrap a psuedopod around it, using it to tap on the monolith. It rings with a curious reverbation, and in response dark psuedopods emerge from the seam in its material. Three of them, rising up, with fractal branches near the ends that terminate in dark, blunt claws.
It warbles sounds at you, and there's a pause.

The warbles grow more urgent, more sharp, before it slows to a stop.

Oh. Of course. This is, after all, my containment. The box is just... a box, it couldn't hold me. But there's no one here to talk to but Y O U. The little thing you pilot can't even hear me properly. But Y O U can. Only three of you? That's it? Sure, I was put here because no one will bother with it, but... That's a little sad.

It's doing nothing. You should move back home and return to marshaling ideas.

Tell you what, let's make a deal. I can't open this like this. If you're more interested in seeing what I can do, just... uh, give me a little more.

Only three h a n d s won't do me any good... By the way, good to meet Y O U. No names here... Well, no names that matter for Y O U, but I'm Handy. It's a pleasure.

You are Special Agent Benjamin Cole.

You were entering the town of Misty Hollow, West Virginia when your car broke down. This is an inconvenience, but the walk along the road gives you time to reflect.

You are here to solve a horrible crime.

But first, what did you have for lunch today?

The Case of the 8 Armed Man. That's one for the history books. Folks almost didn't believe you, but fortunately you always carry a camera to capture evidence. Apprehending the criminal, that was a real tangle for the aquarium staff.

You still keep a memento of the occasion.

Town is just a bit more up the road. You'll be there soon.

Remember the last time you were forced to solve a problem with violence. How did you fight? Did you win?

It's hard to say you lost the fight. It's true. it's just hard to say. You've always prided yourself on your ability to engage in fisticuffs, but your foe was no mere man.

+1 ECCENTRIC

Finally, you arrive at the edge of town. The only thing here is a lonely gas station with a single pump. They must not get a lot of traffic through here. You eye the vending machine on the corner carefully.

It's late afternoon and the sun will soon sink behind the mountains.

[Blood, gore, death and perhaps nudity]

The world is ending. The gods are dead and their rotting corpses have crashed into the world, crushing beneath them what little peace this realm once had. What left of civilization is being torn apart by an endless stream of beasts and monsters pouring out from the decayed remains of what was once your idols of worship. Disease, starvation and death are well-known friends for those that still remain. This is the final generation before all life will be snuffed out…

Which means now is a great opportunity to make some gold!

I'm not sure how quickly we can move while carrying another person with broken ribs. If only she voiced her problem before Muscles-for-Brains walked away. We can always give it a try, but it's going to hurt. Is covering her in leaves to hide her while she recovers an option?

Gokk is endangering everyone right now. Appeal to the pride he feels as the group's bulwark. We won't last very long if we don't have his strength to depend on.

The potion wasn't enough? Carry her, then. ...we're gonna have to take a closer look at her wound soon; if it's infected then that's another party member in a critical situation.

Also tell Grok that what he's doing right NOW is running. He's refusing to face the facts and accept the loss of his arm, which is endangering those around him.
>>
No. 1096076 ID: 7c0da2

>>1096075 is right. Being a coward is turning your back to whatever you should be facing. Right now, it means the state of his arm.
Now, can he look you in the eye and say that, yes, he does want to die an ignominious death, not in battle but on the road, then have to be left on the side or worse, put down as he rises back up as some kind of pitiful abomination ? All for want of a moment's courage ? Or would he rather cut that damn rotting arm off before it kills him ?

And, yes, carry Kani, there is not really much choice, you don't stand much chances of succeeding if you lose both her and Grok. Besides, you probably shouldn't trust Orma too much, best not be the last one standing in her way. Just in case. And maybe you'll get lucky and Grok'll cut off his arm sometime soon and still be able to carry her after that. You can always dream.
>>
No. 1096125 ID: 9e924b

She's slowed, not dead weight, and leaving her to die means pissing off Gokk, which inevitably leaves just you and the snake, if you survive him, and will probably end with just Orma and a reanimated corpse. Plus, you didn't save her to let her die.

Keep snark to a minimum, Kani has been nice in spite of her pain. If your shoulders can handle her, better for her to sit there then piggyback: she has chest pain and you'd have fewer free hands. Also, even if she's hurt, EXPECT her to go for your ears as payback for hers.

The cute crazy old hag has a point, but you'll get through to him better with Kani's help. Gokk is still running away, by not acknowledging the truth of his infection. But it sounds like you should be moving quickly too.

It isn't just robotics per se. It's also general purpose AI. And Artificial Super Intelligence. Robotics goes WITH that, in case you want the ASI which will inevitably murder you AND them to use, say, 'a terrifying army of robots' rather than 'a supervirus which causes everyone to suddenly fall over dead all at once.', which it might be prone to do without a fanatic genius roboticist's specific type of support. Does the method matter, or just the result??

Could be fun if the mimic waits in a room with a treasure chest, but out of line of sight. In the corner next to the entrance or something. When the decoy (real) chest is opened and it's safe, the adventurers will relax. And -that's- when the mimic should attack them.
