Groggy Morning...

In case anyone missed it when I said so, I decided this quest won't be full nsfw. First thread is a good indication of how I want to keep it for the most part.

You are Erika, daughter of the Snow Queen, the goddess of winter itself. Before we start play though, let's decide on your attributes.
Pick one of the following categories to be your Primary focus, one to be your Secondary, and one to be your Tertiary.

PHYSICAL: Strength, Stamina and Dexterity
SOCIAL: Beauty, Charisma and Manipulation
MENTAL: Wits, Perception and Intelligence.

You giggle. "Mammoth dick maybe~" you drool at the memory.
La winks. "Oh I see how it is! Been giving Wulf a good polish have ya? Well drink up! You've earned it!"
She hands you a tankard of ale you barely manage to lift. You drink deep, noticing that the ale tastes of Bjorn after the throat swabbing he gave you.
He finish and cough a little. "Not Wulf, Bjorn. How is Wulf anyway? I haven't seen him in days."
She grins and sighs. "Same old rogue. Still chasing skirt half his age."
You fake outrage. "He's been banging girls other than us??"
She pokes you in the boob and turns to pour another drink for you. "You've been out of town! And I can't be polishing his rod all day, more's the pity." She ogles your cleavage and smiles at your still-dizzy expression. "I'd ask you to join us tonight but you look like you couldn't handle it."

>Your Stamina, Strength and Dexterity are all currently at 1. A mortal would have to rest extensively, you can spend motes to restore your attributes.

You kink an eyebrow at her. "Is that a challenge?"
She leans over. "Hell yes."
You smile as you lean back. "I might have a drink first."
She winks. "Sure, this one's on the house, you'll be paying Wulf back later I'm sure."
You sip the beer she pours you and think.
Wulf's a big ugly bastard and a good friend of yours. You came to this town when you were about 16, not a penny in your pocket and not a friend in sight. Wulf let you stay the night in his inn, a night that became several weeks once you started working as a waitress, then as a dancer.
You've still got coins stashed away from that time, your incredible dexterity made you almost rich, and with Wulf's encouragement you spent much of it on gear.
Wulf was an ex-adventurer, and didn't really teach you how to swing a sword or shoot a bow, he taught you how to not get killed by a bearman eleven feet tall.
Sometime during your training, teenage hormones being what they are, you ended up bent over his counter top screaming his name. He was your first, and you blame him for your, well, you don't want to say sex ADDICTION, but you will say he left you with one hell of an itch that needs scratching. And you've done PLENTY of scratching around frostfall, the name of this town, a town in the middle of nowhere but large enough that it gets regular trade and plenty of immigrants when the winter gets cold enough.
Not that the cold bothers you.

"Arriving after dark" doesn't seem like the worst thing in the world, assuming there's at least some slight shelter at the pillar itself. Get over there; your pace is dilly-dallying as is. Oh, and throw on your layers now; yeah, it might get a bit toasty in the meantime, but that will become a boon after dark.

Are we worried about the ichor beast? I don't know if continuing on is the best bet. Maybe we should take shelter without fire inside a container on the edge of the salt.

If we continue straight into the dust, we will be really visible, but the benefit is that anything after you will be visible too. Then again, would we be able to step to a creature? Or maybe banditos?

Hey look, you’ve been having a hard day, okay? You’ve been released from the only life you knew, joined what was once an enemy faction, became intimately involved with a lover before you understood what was happening, have fathered a child of some kind, and took out your frustrations on someone who you cared about. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed and stressed out right now!

Take a moment to gather yourself though, and then pick yourself up and keep going. I know you can do this, you have incredible potential within you. I know you can keep moving!

bad news. these people are not the people you need to worry about noticeing, your blue scaled savoir has a very particular sense of justice and knows when you have been bad,
that said anything we can see right now is probably not a good choice for theft, you want to be looking for things they have duplicates of, as one less of something you have five of is something you can lose and not instantly suspect theft.

If you were smarter, you could probably help speed things up.

>Right, let’s tell her you’ve run away to the sea like you always wanted to. It wouldn’t be too hard to convince her of that.
And if she wants to come with you? Maybe you can trick her I to drinking that sleeping potion? Then when she's knocked out, you leave a note saying "by the time you read this, I'll be gone" or something close to that.

>>949403
Are you sure you can steal anything? Remember, your hands got fucked up pretty badly, so you might not be able to do the things you used to be able to do anymore.
>>
No. 949418 ID: eeb7d9

You might not believe this, coming from voice inside your head, but you probably don't want to steal nothing, if you want to keep living. Your blue friend won't be happy about it, especially after shaving your ass, twice. She knows when you have been bad... You know, like Santa, but in blue. Actually, she is more like a blue Krampus, if you think about it.

You should just go... i mean, you can take SOME coins, just to keep you floating, but don't burglarize them.

I am serious, you really don't want to see Ema pissed off.

Hmm. The jewelry on display won't work, that's easily noticed. You can either take something from one of the drawers, or nab some expensive article of clothing. They probably have multiple pairs of that kind of stuff and don't keep track of it. Or maybe a bottle of wine?
Try to avoid anything that might have sentimental value. Like anything in that small lockbox is off limits.
Is there a key left in the keyhole of the top drawer? You could use it to search there. Also check the contents of the cabinet.
If you can find a weird-looking stone then TAKE IT.

Oh, that’s right. Didn’t Danus tell us that Justina might not be able to play any instruments anymore because of how badly Terroza burned them?

So if Justina can’t hold instruments to play them anymore, then she might not be able to steal anything anymore.

I find my pals on the bridge, greet them and tell that the beacon is in place for the navigators.

"Dust home then?" I ask from the pilot.
"Dust to dust, space it's where I feel most whole in."

The eccentric pilot is a black Gappi-Gappian or true Gappian, also known as the soldier Gappian. I don't know where he comes from, just that he is addicted to piloting and is good at it. According to his own say that I've gotten out of his stubborn person is that he is born in the Great Void. He loves not only to fly, but also to disintegrate enemies. I don't seriously know what to do with him, but to give him a sense of an ongoing mission, where we always have a chance to meet our great many enemies.

That green Gappian is Moluch, he is our technician that keeps us going in space when things malfunction on the craft or anywhere else. He has a ship interface attached to his arms feeding him realtime info on the machines. He comes from a tropical world called Nipiphuur.

I ask them "What is the status?"

Moluch gives an update. "Gthar, good job. We're heading to home colony. The craft is functioning like a newmade object. Current mission is completed, we're ready to check back at the home colony. Expecting the beacons to transmit gravitonic signal to the awaiting host of the reverent Formian. We may keep the craft or join the Formian's host. Or return the craft to the colony and join the Formian's flagship as handymen and mercenaries without our own flier. We may get more crafts to the colony from the host to supply our own projects in the solar system and get to command and train new crews to them. These are the most probable outcomes of this current endeavour. Good times lie ahead. The Formian should contact us with FTL comms anytime."

I thank Moluch for the nice summary and hurry to get some snacks for us three while they maneuver the ship into orbit.

I find 2 Juicybars and a pouch full of Energizer pills. I take one for myself.

An angel, a coward, a demon, a White Elf, a liar, a laborer, a saint, a siren, and a wizard walk into a bar. The barkeep says "Why the l̨̗̖͎̜͖̙̻͛̿͆̎͋ͯo̍̓ͭn̩͉͎̼͆g͚̦̙ͥ̎ͨͥ̎ face?" The demon replies "I can provide you with more than a hundred barrels of ale, sixty gallons each, over the course of the next week, if you, in return, stop asking such stupid questions." Soon enough they come to an agreement.

From Zelkor's Ferry, you can head upriver about 25 miles to Passholdt's border fort. If you're going by land, most people wait for good weather and a large group, then march the whole way to the fort in one day, so as to avoid the red bear. Dirt road turns to mud when it rains. Follow that tributary river (the channel which the ferry actually crosses) to the south and there's a lake, on the far side of the lake is Rook's Vineyard. We don't go there anymore. Downriver, it's about fifty miles to the old coast road, which continues as far north or south as anyone's ever cared to check.

North bank of the river and dozens of miles beyond, from here to the coast road, is marshy lowlands. Swamp trolls live there, and stilt-walker elves, and green-robed monks in decrepit cloisters atop the few rocky outcroppings. There are rumors of some ancient beast sleeping under the mire, able to swallow elephants whole.

Any other direction, forest. All kinds of monsters in the forest, but only three kinds of men. First kind is outlaws, meaning pathetic types on the run from their own mistakes, Most are decent enough, if you give 'em a bit of charity and remember to keep a hand over your purse. Not many survive more than a few weeks. Second is bandits, meaning hardened thieves and murderers who've made the forest their home. Azure instructs the group to take some kitchenware as a present for Rhea, grabbing any tools that look delicate and relatively sanitary. She takes a closer look at the fireplace - or rather, instructs Maria to take a closer look for her.

Hore considers picking up the knife and adding it to her belt, but it looks cursed and nasty. She's looted bloody corpses that were less disgusting. Hore takes a few pots and pans with the least rust, and suggests they throw the kitchenware at the monsters in the next few rooms.

Maru is baffled at the turn of events- Vos, Hore, Azure, and the angelall get involved in some mess that she doesn't really understand, but the end results in Hore ceasing her weird rants against Vos, so it's probably a good thing? Just glad the glowy tart didn't seem to take issue with her heritage like everyone else seems to.

If there's more exploring to be done, this room seems safe enough as a potential point of retreat, but we should clear out known threats so in the event that we have to run we don't get sandwhiched between a rat and a Minotaur, or whatever else seems fit to assault them in this place.

Lets gather up Vos, Hore, Azure, and whoever else is crammed into this room and go do some pest control.

Rolling to gather party and remove the mentioned giant rat as a threat.

You successfully plunder the kitchen and regroup. Rhea can ritually purify any inanimate objects that might carry biohazards, provided they're reasonably fire resistant - iron cookware certainly qualifies.

Who's in front when you enter the giant rat's lair?

Vos is notably more of a tank than Maru, but I'm not going to volunteer someone else's character, so I think the skald is currently in front, unless someone chimes in saying otherwise.

Hore follows directly behind Maru, with Azure perched on her back.

Azure is still wondering what the final boss will be like and what the correct answer to Jalkaren's riddle is. Hore is distracted by her own imagination, thinking about how an ineffective horde of shambling corpses can overrun an entire country, and conversely, how a small team of specialists can thwart them before they can do any real damage.

Their ears are tuned to listening for rats, though. Perception roll to listen-specific.

I agree on this one. The number one thing to do is separate the terrorists from their bombs when charging in. You have a wide attack and each of your heads can focus on a different target.

The rat in a pile of broken shards, the commotion behind the door... Is there gonna be a fire? Grab the rat, hide it in your bag, and check the blinking thing in there while you’re at it. Someone freaking out at the rat and being way too liberal about extermination, and whatever that mysterious blinking object is... those are the only two remotely viable causes of fire that we can see and affect at the moment. If both are tended to, and nobody is bursting through the door, pick up the bag and exit; if this fire(?) is going to start outside our range of control, the least we can do is not stay in a room with just one exit.

What the fuck just happened? Why is the lantern so bright? It shouldn't be like this, the only ones that can make this much light were Reno and Dana.
Did Thorne saw something?

Carefully pick the lantern up by the handle. Make sure to not let it touch any of the fish, lest you risk having to go through that whole disgusting delve again.

Check that Thorne is okay and ask what happened from her perspective. Then check on Spots. Just how bloated with fish is he by now? Gonna have to get him to stop gorging before his guts burst. Try telling him that if he keeps eating like this his stomach is gonna rupture and he'll die. Even if it wouldn't, staying here means bad things'll catch up with him soon. We all gotta keep moving. He can grab some fish to bring with.

It's times like these that make someone ask the big questions; is there a God, for example.

You've never really believed in an omnipotent power, especially not now, as you hang from your hands and feel your ribs crack.

Is there a such thing as good and evil, that's another good one.

Probably not.

No need to take more lives than necessary on a fucked mission that shouldn't have happened. If you have a moment to look back and you see him not running or whatever and looking at you give him a little sharp nod of appreciation (if culturally appropriate)

What are you doing there?

Why so tense? I've seen ramrods more relaxed.

>You speak, without really meaning to. “Просто немного поболтать.” You give a wry smile. “И, может быть, немного алкоголя. Почему, ты хочешь немного?” Joking, sarcastic. And where you mustered the courage for it you’ll never know.
Just a little chat. something about this feels lost by google translate, can't think of a way that sounds natural in english

Seconds hesitation, hand falters. You don’t want to kill him, but then again, sometimes spilt blood is unavoidable.

No, not this time. He lives.

Too late either way, searchlight’s almost on you.

Heart’s still hammering. Lead taps you on the shoulder. “Let’s go.”

You give him one last look before slipping away. And out of the corner of your eye, you catch a tiny glimmer of something playing across his features, but it fades and you turn away, and just like that, a spark of respect between two soldiers flashes.

Maybe you’ll never know what was going through that soldier’s head. And maybe in that moment you had bigger problems.

Asphalt bites into your elbows, and your left arm stings like a bitch under the strain.

It's a funny thing living out on the frontier, you can get lost in so many ways, whether it be physically, mentally, looking for gold, or even just lost in the atrocity that humans can cause, you can always find a reason.

After all, many come out here, just to get lost.

You get to your farmstead with little issue, and admit even if William's effectively just a phonautograph compared to you, it's actually nice to have the farmstead feel less empty now.

You have William head up to the top of the workshop and hand him your single action for now. Buying a new gun will have to come later.

For now you take your new parts from Mensah at the auto store and open the workshop's big door. The smell of oil hits your olfactory sensors, and under the tarp lays your project. Almost done.

You just need a name for this thing.

Well if both teams are going to be fighting cultists then both teams need a light magic user. Candy could be on the team to face the boss because she can at least fireball them in the face for a momentary loss of vision. I'm not sure Pierce would be able to contribute as much... ask him though. What element is his magic, exactly, that it lets him destroy spirits? Would it be useful against the boss?

Also uh, we gotta fix this computer here, ask the raccoon if he's got any ideas how to get it working.
Can Nibbles handcuff the captive to the gate outside to be collected later for prison time? He's not fully corrupted so there's a chance he can be rehabilitated.

Speaking of which, it looks like Nibbles has made some progress with it, since something has turned green on the screen.
